Course Curriculum Overview

5

I choose this course because it was my childhood dream to be a journalist. Journalism fascinates me because we can be the voice of the voiceless millions of Indians. The faculty-student ratio is 30:1. All the faculty members are highly qualified with good teaching and industrial experience. Their teaching methods include theoretical and practical teaching both of which I think is the best part. The exams are very timely and it is not at all difficult to pass the exam if you are well prepared, as teachers make you prepare for each and everything that will come during the exam. They don't give you spoon-feeding but they actually prepare you for everything that will come in the exam through their teaching methods. The curriculum is well designed according to the understanding ability of the students and also the need of the industry. We have regular field visits. Also, internships are included in our course curriculum which is provided by the college itself.

Internships Opportunities

5

There are many companies in which students are placed for internships. their role during internships is interns. The friendships will definitely allow students to learn and be ready for industrial exposure during the placement.

Placement Experience

5

Campus placements are the best part of the university. From the last semester, students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like Times of India, Hindustan Times, Dainik Bhaskar, Danik Navjyoti, CNN, Sandesh, Star TV Network visited the campus. The internship opportunity is also really good. Almost 85% of students get campus placements. I want to be a news anchor after the completion of my degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees hike policy is really nominal and the cost to study is really feasible. The fee structure is really feasible for every course in the university as compared to other universities and colleges. They provide you with numerous scholarships and financial assistance. Scholarships of different types are sports scholarships alumni scholarships, topper scholarships, sports scholarships, cultural scholarships etc. I am doing the job of social media coordinator at the campus with a stipend of Rs 5000/-per month. If you are efficient enough you can get a job at the campus itself while doing studies. There are ample jobs offered by different cells in the university like admission cell, cultural cell, social media cell, international student cell etc. It's a simple Funda "Have the efficiency, take the job".

Campus Life

5

When it comes to campus life, Parul University is the best place. We have an annual cultural and sports fest call Dhoom for both students and teachers to showcase their talent. Dhoom is organised in February every year. Apart from that, we have tech fest every month like hackathons and start-up festivals. All the books and journals related to the field are found in the library. Classrooms are fully ventilated with all the necessary amenities. Various sports and extracurricular activities on the campus. We have many social groups like rotary club etc. As the university has students from all over India and almost over 45 countries we celebrate all the festivals with the same zest, zeal and enthusiasm.

Hostel Facilities

5

All the necessary facilities are in the hostel room. Hostel rooms are fully ventilated with a choice of Ac and non-ac rooms. Housekeeping daily comes to clean your rooms and your bathrooms. The menu of the mess is perfect. It provides you with the perfect balanced diet. The meal quality is quite hygienic and healthy. Meals are really delicious and enjoyable. Hostels are quite affordable. The registration process of the hostel is quite simple.

Interview Experience

5

The criteria for admission is really very simple. For bachelor's, you have to complete 10+2 or equivalent and for Masters, you have to complete the degree of your bachelor's or equivalent. There is no special preparation required for these rounds of admission you just have to be confident in whatever you prepare for your specific field there is no such entrance test required in our college. The group discussion and the interview process is really simple, you just need to be aware of the current affairs and trending topics of your field.

The curriculum is industry-aligned, focusing on practical coding and lab work. It prepares us well for real-world IT tasks. However, updating syllabus with AI trends and adding more hands-on workshops would be better. Exams are moderate and timely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Because in all honestly all the other courses are pretty basic and boring. This is one of the only courses which is interesting, filled with practicals. Learning academic concepts and applying exactly to our internships which proved to be very efficient. The subjects need to be more varying according to the mass communication which needs to have more different types fields.

The course fortunately covers various dimensions of the media field, but I feel that it lacks information on core Journalism. To be specific, while the curriculum has topics like writing and editing for print media, there is no mention of topics like page design and editing, due to which the students lack the necessary skills.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is very well designed but not updated as per the recent industry standards if the respective fields. There are no subjects lile vontent writing or learning graphic designing as it's requied in the feild of mass communication. I wanted to learn news anchoring as that's why I remeber joining this course but there is no training to the practical aspects. If they add certificate courses or workshops on things that the industry is requiring it will make the students good enoug to go and earn as soon as the graduate. The exams are taken at teh very right times and the frequency is goo the difficulty level is same for student wo attend and the one who never came to college even once in the entire semester
