My college experience

So, my journey started for admission when one of my friends advised me to Parul University. He told me to visit all the good universities in Gujarat and choose after that, as I'll be satisfied enough with my decision. Thus, after seeing the facilities and infrastructure of Parul University, I was more interested in taking admission here rather than anywhere else. Also, being a deemed university was an edge over any other college. The best part about the university is that it feels home away from home. The management, security, etc, everyone is polite and friendly. Also, one of the main reasons I applied was the 'Events Department' here. They not only focus on academics but also extra-curricular activities. The festivals/events are some of the best in India. In fact, their Techfest named 'Projections' is Gujarat's Largest Techfest. The admission process was very simple. As I was a state board student, I had to just apply through ACPC, and I got admission.

As I was into IT since high school, I choose Computer Science & Engineering. Also, Parul University has the best infrastructure with reference to the CSE department as they have the latest computers, all the labs are well equipped and the faculty members are well experienced. Adding to that, their curriculum is the latest and no old school like other colleges. The faculty-student ratio is respectable having 1:30 faculty: student. The faculties are given regular training to cope up with the latest ways to teach and have all the knowledge possible to teach students. The best part about academics is their examination system. Everything is well managed and the timeline is very thoughtful for students. If you are attending classes regularly, you will get good grades and also focus on internal exams as they carry about overall 50% marks which include viva and practicals.

Yes, they do. In fact, the university also provided internships for students for various departments with a stipend of Rs. 8,000 to 15,000. Companies come for almost all the departments and institutes in search of potential interns.

From 5-6 semesters, students become eligible for placements. The speciality is, students also get to sit for internship opportunities for the last 2 semesters. I can bet on it, there is no other university in India having such good placements. 15,000 students have been placed in 1,500 companies till now. The highest package was about 20 lakhs and the average is 3-4 lakhs.

My fees were Rs 77,500 as tuition fees and Rs 5,500 as examination fees and Rs 5,500 as university facilities fees. Overall, Rs 88,500 was my yearly fee, which can be paid by almost any online medium. I didn't get any scholarly, but there is a scholarly test named 'PUSH' for thee students coming outside of the Gujarat state and whatever the marks you score, is your scholarship, something like that. Many of my friends got about 30%-50% scholarships.

There is an annual feast for each institute. As I was in engineering, we had out Techfest named 'Projections' which is Gujarat's largest Techfest. We have students coming all over from India from IITs and NITs to attend the Techfest. We can also become the organizing committee if we want to, and it is the best thing to experience. The library is very huge and you can get any book here. Each classroom has a projector screen, projector, speaker system, and laptop. Overall the classrooms are big in size so that we don't feel suffocated. The sports facilities are one of the best in India. Google, Microsoft, Github, every big name has a club in Parul University.
