A great exposure

Overall college is full of excitement and enjoyment, this college one of the 74 department of Panjab University which is the oldest and well known University, with a 550-acre campus, full of greenery. UIET is good in all aspects but there is some problem like less seat in hostels, less scholarship etc. Admission is taken on the basis of jee mains rank and its counselling name is JAC Chandigarh, and its counselling starts before Josaa counselling. I preferred this college on the basis of overall ratings and relatives suggestions and now I am agreed with my relatives. I had seen rating of college from Collegdunia, Career 360 etc.

The curriculum is well designed and oriented in such a way to prepare its students industry-ready. The faculty is well experienced and holds a doctorate from prominent institutions of the world. The teaching method of faculty is well like a school you won't feel that college like teaching that teacher is going on continuously like a parrot and sharing the PPT at the end. The ratio between faculty and students is quite 1:60. The course is consist of a semester there are 2 sessional and 1 major of University exam in one semester and it's up to you it is difficult or easy.

Internships opportunity are very well and plan by the various club in our college like EDC (Entrepreneurs Development shell) who talk with our alumni and company for internship. There are many internships available on campus and off-campus, many research project going on in the university selects students for their projects. Institute has collaborated with many other institutions and companies for placement as well as internships. UIET has MoU with various universities around the world like the University of Western Australia, IITK, IITR, and many research institutions in India.

The placement program starts from 7 semesters, the placement record is very satisfactory for CSE/IT/ECE student, about 90+ percent of students are placed with decent packages. Many companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Capgemini, Deloitte, Goldman Sachs, Adobe, TCS, Infosys (Mass Recruiting), Eicher Motors, TATA, Mahindra and Mahindra, etc, are comes in the college. For mech/biotechnology/EEE placement record less than 40%. The percentage varies from company to company but the minimum is 6.5 CGPA. The average package is 6.5 lakh per annum. The highest package is 42 lakh per annum. From the last year 2020. I have gained all industrial knowledge and now I am just approving myself for the best company.

It is a central government-funded University, the fee for a year is around 99k, which is to be deposited in two instalments of 40k and 59k each. 40k is the seat acceptance fee which is adjusted in the fee for the first instalment. There are various scholarships available for the students on the basis of the family income. Students with family income less than 1 lakh gets 100% fee refund at the end of the year and various other scholarship provided by the Indian government. And you have to earn while learn in this college which is very helpful for students this scheme is organised by Panjab University.

Wonderful campus with 550-acre area. There is more than 78 department at Panjab University and one of them is UIET. More than 20 thousand students are enrolled on the campus. There are many fests organized by the various departments and clubs of the University with the footfall of more than one lakh people. As Chandigarh is known as a city beautiful, life at the campus and city are outstanding and happening. Most of the sports facilities are available from cricket, hockey, football, tennis, badminton, swimming etc.
