3 AMAZING YEARS AT SCAS

Sahrdaya College of Advanced Studies, Kodakara is where I'm doing my Bachelor's degree in Computer Applications (BCA). It's a college which follows strict rules but support students in a peek level to develop their skills. There are a lot of faculties in each sector. The library, lab, cricket ground, podium, basketball ground, cafeteria are all amazing. Being a BCA student I've got all chances in engaging in all other extra activities. I was in the yoga team and won second prize in the district level individual championship. First year students even have an hour for yoga every week. Morning assembly is kind of hard but it's the best to begin a day with. Admission wasn't tough as I directly applied and was shortlisted and got selected. I didn't had to go through entrance. The books and bag will be provided. By July the classes would start but admissions can extend according to the seats left. If you are looking for a college with a warm atmosphere Sahrdaya is best. I chose computer in plus two. So I thought of continuing the same in degree. That's how I ended up with BCA. The faculties in my department is so friendly and helps us with any doubts. All of thy faculties are always available for the students. They also manages all other programs like D-Zone, Interzone ,College day ,and all other events. They are so supportive. Most of them have higher qualification and have passed tests to be a college lecturer. Portions are covered in a systematic way according to the syllabus. Two internals are conducted in a semester out of 40 which is very useful for the semester exam. And even class tests are conducted often like a 10 minutes test. If we have prepared with an average effort, its easy to pass through. It's important to pass because that and the attendance decides the internal mark for the semester.

Campus placement program starts when we are final years. We had TCS, Wipro and Infosys as the MNC who recruited students. I got selected in Infosys aptitude round and I'm waiting for the results of interview round right now. Also there are three more students completed interview. TCS selected two of our students from class with job offer letter. Wipro selected one. Infosys recruitment is going on now. Salary package for training is between 15k-20k. I would most probably go for MCA or if getting selected at Infosys, that would be my career.

Fees is not high except for the CMA courses in B.com . The fees structure will be explained during the admission process. And we will get a total idea about whole. There are no particular jobs in the campus. But scholarship happens often.

There are variety of fests conducted in an academic year. Tech fest will be conducted by the month November. Different colleges summons their brilliant student at the college for different competition. Volunteering all those is fun. Management fest will be conducted by December and it will be of three days. Last day is more exciting because a grand program will be conducted at night where students can dance and enjoy to the songs and light. College day, Freshers day, Onam celebration, Christmas celebration are others. The library is at the top floor answer it is wide and silent with a lot off books available. Class room has a podium and a mike stand, PowerPoint presentation properties, speaker, seating for students. Sports is the most encouraged activity in college. We even win prizes and championship. Yoga is an hour every week for First years. Kabaddi basket ball, cricket, tug of war and all are competitive items. Life at campus is fun if you have lot of friends.
