Remarks
The college is very strict, it feels like a second school the academics are great ragging free campus.
Entrance Preview
IIT JEE, REAP. I scored 33 in my JEE mains exam and got admission in the government college of Ajmer. My father had a deep in in JIET and hence I cancelled my admission in Ajmer and trusted my father with this institution. I took admission here through management quota. I selected electronics and communication branch as I had a keen interest in the subject and also, the placement rate in this particular stream in my college was the highest.

College Events
There are many cultural and technical events organised in our college such as House which is a technical event and fresher's party, farewell party, department day etc and an Annual fest "Resonance". Resonance is quite a popular event in the city as many celebrities are invited to it.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is a bit expensive. The yearly fee of our college is approximately Rs 1 lakh per annum which is not very affordable. The fee can be paid semester wise and in installments. This fee includes transportation fee which is very over priced.
Fees and Financial Aid
Scholarships for economically backward meritorious students is provided. Also, there are scholarship schemes for girls, specially SC/ST. Children with single parent also avail various scholarships.
Campus Life
The ratio of girls and boys is very dramatic. The ratio of girls vs boys in JIET is 1:15 for an average class and in some branches like Mechanical, there are no girls at all. The two major and dominant cast in this college is Brahmins but the college is religiously very tolerant and had seen no disputes regarding cast, race or ethnicity.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel rooms are below average and the quality standards are very low. The wardens are very uncooperative and rude and there is no freedom to leave the campus except for Sundays. The hostel fee is around 30-50k per annum depending on the type of room.
Alumni/Alumna
There is not much interaction with either the alumni or the seniors. A very strict rule is laid to prevent ragging which is although very successful but has made the interaction between juniors and seniors negligible.
Exam Structure
The exam schedule is very hectic. We have exams nearly after every two months called as Mid-Term Examinations. Every semester has two mid-terms and one university exam. Every midterm has practical exams as well. In addition to that, there are class tests every week which leave students very tired and caught up.
Faculty
The faculty in the first two semesters lacked quality and standards. They were under-qualified and lacked the ability to teach students and couldn't justify with the expectation of students. Many students became victims of favoritism as the teachers were very partial towards some students. Since third semesters, the teachers are highly qualified and cooperative. They strive for the betterment of students and are amazing.
