FEELING OF ABROAD IN CHARUSAT

I prominently Chose this University because of its hi-tech campus and futuristic Course Structure. One good aspect is that the syllabus gets updated every six months and modifications are made according to the requirements of the Industry. One bad aspect is that the university is far from the city almost 70km from Vadodara and 75Km from Ahmedabad and University does not have a boys hostel (they have girls' hostels on campus) so commuting is a bit tiresome. But transportation facilities are very excellent. My Admission was done from the official ACPC process. The reason for preferring this university is their modern campus, robust and latest labs and syllabus content, and their guaranteed placement and excellent foreign studies guidance( almost 70% of students opt for foreign studies). I am passionate about Computer technologies and the course of this university is one of the best in State of Gujarat. Faculty: student ratio is almost 1:30 All faculties are required to have Ph.D. in their teaching field and if they haven't done then they have to start immediately after they join University as Professor. The exams are conducted from time to time, even in this covid-19 situation exams are conducted in a timely manner and the exams are easy to pass out but the practical approach is preferred for examination.

Students can do internship either in CHARUSAT as research interns or they can find internship by themselves and certain companies are coming for internship offers. Some are InfoChips and other startups. Projects can be field specific and in next consecutive semester you have to submit internship report and presentation in front of external faculties. Internship contributes to 2 credits in semester 5 and 7.

After Completion of Semester 6 students are eligible for campus placements. Prominent Companies visiting for campus placement are TCS, MG Hector, ADANI Power, NIRMA, Torrent power, InfoChips, ABB, GE, and many other small startups and small and medium-sized companies. Average Package is around INR 400000 and Highest Package offered is INR 2000000. 100% students opting for placement are getting job offer. My plan is to pursue masters in Canada.

Fees of my Course i.e. in DEPSTAR is INR 101000 while in CSPIT it is INR 140000. Fess hike is done according to the policy of UGC. Scholarships are provided by university for PG and PhD students. For B.tech students scholarships are provided by Government of Gujarat. Campus jobs are not available for students.

COGNIZANCE and SPOURAL are tech fest and non-tech fest conducted annually in the month of October and February. The university has one central library and every building has there own departmental library. All Classrooms are air-conditioned with projectors and wide benches and each bench has charging port for laptops. Sports fest is part of SPOURAL and also all the year round various sports activity are conducted. Coding Club of DEPSTAR, CSPIT coding club, GD club of DEPSTAR, entrepreneur club, Acting Club are several clubs.
