It has some skill-based courses. Practical knowledge was provided. Admission process was really smooth just like other Delhi University colleges. It took me 3-4 days for the admission process as I had a gap of 1 year. So had to arrange for a new character certificate. I used the official DU portal to gather all the information regarding the college, fees structure, courses, etc.
Course Curriculum Overview
Travel and Tourism has a lot of scope in today's world and that gained my interest towards this course. The faculty was very friendly and very responsible. Each semester was for 6 months and the syllabus was quite easy to clear. Got timely assignments and notes that helped in studying.
Placement Experience
Students were eligible to apply for placements from 4th semester and brands like Indigo, Make My Trip, Genpact. Deloitte, Travel Triangle, and other such companies visited for placements. The highest package offered was 13 lakhs per annum. The average package is 4 lakhs. 90% of students got placed in batch 2019.
Fees and Financial Aid
It is just a nominal amount of 8000-11000 and some of the amount of exam fees. The placement cell was very helpful and offered really good companies as well as a handsome salary package. They ensured that every student must get through a job and our department also had a separate placement cell that helped to look for job opportunities in the tourism field.
Campus Life
TATVA- the annual fest of CVS. A huge 3-day event with colleges participating from all over Delhi. Also, some of the fests were conducted by different societies, like Fashion (Manthan), Art & Craft (Criador), Dance, Music, NSA, and a lot more. Few of the NGOs were also invited to contribute in the events.
Interview Experience
Just simple matching to the cut-off list was required and no other interview round took place. There were no other criteria present. We just matched our best of 4 marks to the cut-off list over the DU portal and reached the college with all the necessary documents.
