Remarks
My college is one of the best colleges of India. It also comes under Delhi University which is a renowned University and if someone wants to apply for admission to the US it gets easier. The college even has a beautiful campus and infrastructure even if it is very old. It has all the necessary facilities and really qualified faculty. The hostel facilities are great too with good and hygienic food.
Course Curriculum Overview
I'm pursuing MBBS from here and that's because I always wanted to become a doctor. It is a very versatile field as well. The number of faculty for each subject is good. There is a hierarchy in that, the highest being the HOD. Then there are professors, SRs and PGs and lab technicians.
Placement Experience
After the final year is cleared every student has to do a year long internship in the hospital associated with the college which is GTB hospital for UCMS. Students get a lot of clinical exposure there.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college fees is very minimal and it is one of the perks of being in a government college. It is around 5k-7k per annum. The placement process is also very different from other colleges. First, every student has to do an internship for 1 year and then post graduation (entrance based).
Campus Life
We have an annual fest called RIPPLE that happens around March. There is also a sports festival called arena in July. The college life is amazing as the hostel is a beautiful experience. There are libraries and reading rooms and late night study sessions are a great thing. There are also a number of cultural societies for those who can do what they love.
Hostel Facilities
The room is very small but the good thing is every student gets his/her own room and no sharing is there. It gives a lot of privacy. Then it is up to the student for whatever way he wants to decorate his room. The meal quality is very good. It is very hygienic. Every Friday there is a non veg meal too. The hostel availability for girls is not too much. I myself got a hostel after a year of requests.
