There was not any entrance exam. However the +2 marks were taken into account for admission, The admission process was smooth, I scored 1057 marks in my +2 and it was enough to secure admission to the Bcom course.

There might not have been a focus on the research but it was good overall. It made one aware of accounting, commercial and economics basics. Subjects such as management and cost accounting made one familiar with the cost and management accounting concepts, which gave them an edge while doing CA,CWA,ACS professional courses.

There was no internship. However i got a scholarship in my 2nd and 3rd year and it was really useful.

There was one company that came over for campus recruitment in the time that i studied. However in later years major MNCs and corporates have come to the college for offering job opportunities. Many cos such as TCS, CTS, verizon, HCL, Wipro have com to the campus and the packages may range from 2.5 lacs to 10 lacs PA.

This college is known for cultural-spiritual and traditional activities. Each day started with a 30 minute prayer which was compulsory for everyone to attend. One of the main events that took place during 2000 was the consecration ceremony of Ramakrishna Mutt (which is the parent body of the college) and we all participated as volunteers.

Expensive, The per year fee was rs.15000 for the evening college and it was not something that a layman could afford In comparison, the fee for the day college was just rs.1500.

Yes, I availed Rs. 12000 scholarship in my second year due to merit. In my 3rd year I was just given Rs.1000 as scholarship.

Exams were hectic. there were monthly and quarterly assessments apart from the annual exams. There were no weightages that the monthly and quarterly exams carried.

Good overall. We had faculty from various specialities. The core accounting subjects such as cost accounting and management accounts were handled by able professors. Management accounting was handled by mr. Srinivasan and its a must mention.
