CET Karnataka. Got 2674 ranking in CET. It was one of the best college in Karnataka during my time. It was belongs to Mysore university.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum was very good. It was focused on latest technology. I took operation management as my elective. The faculty was very good for that subject as well. During that time computer science was in booming.
Internships Opportunities
Our college not provided any internship. But the college was encourage to do the in-house project and it was arranging.
Placement Experience
During my studies placement was not good. This is because there was a recession. Infosys, Ashok Leyland, Mysore paper Mills had come. Handful of students selected. Package was good . But I heard that now the placement is very good. Many companies visiting the campus.
College Events
Our college was conducting many events. College day, food fest, technical seminars etc. Usually college day was fun filled. It was named as Malad 1997 etc.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure was affordable. I got the seat through merits so the fee was very less. It was around rupees 5700 per year. But management seat was little expensive as I believe. I don't remember exactly how much they were charging.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college was providing few scholarships. But I have not avaied any scholarships. Usually the students take loan from nationalised banks.
Campus Life
The gender ratio was depending on the the branch. Mechanical, industrial production, civil engineering branch had more number of boys compared to electronics and communication, computer science. Instrumentation technology etc. The college was supporting extra curricular activities, sports. It was sending the students to inter college competitions.
Alumni/Alumna
There is a web site for alumni network. But it is not much operational. However, alumni network is developed using popular social networking media like Facebook, Twitter and what's app.
Exam Structure
We had semester system. Had lab and theory exams. Usually we had six subjects in a semester and two labs in between we had internals exams. It was for 25 marks in each subject. Most of the students used to make good score. Some times exams were tough. We used to curse the person who did the paper.
Faculty
Faculty of my college was awesome. Very much experienced in the subject they handled. They were finishing the curriculum in time. They were used to give real time examples to make the subject easy. They were student friendly at the same time they are strict also.
