My Experience of PGPM with IBS Mumbai.

IBS accepts CAT/GMAT/NMAT. Those who don't score good marks in CAT or NMAT can have IBS as a backup option. For NMAT the cut-off score is around 140+ and follows for other exams. Admission process is smooth after you clear your cut-off marks for above mentioned exams . There are interview rounds placed at IBS Hyderabad due pandemic it has made it convenient over online. If you're somebody who cannot dropout a year and have to have a college IBS Mumbai is a decent option.

IBS Mumbai offers a PGPM program which is into 4 semesters where 1st year remains the same for everybody after 1st year you have options to choose your major & minor or if you want to go with core then you can keep it as all majors. IBS Mumbai doesn't offer a degree certificate as PGPM is a course program so the disadvantage is one cannot pursue PhD after this course , but that doesn't hamper your placements or working abroad and neither with any of companies a this is equivalent to that of MBA. Faculty at IBS Mumbai are very articulate & diligent, they are very well versed with their subjects and very much approachable as well leaving only faculties most of them are very good. Also, most of the faculty (about 90%) are PhD. holders and comes along with a good amount of teaching experience in their expertise.

Yes, college does provide internships and live projects too, but the majority of them don't provide stipend so that is one drawback but the good thing is one would see a good number of brands if all you need a good internship.

College placements generally start from the 3rd semester onwards as companies start arriving by then and it goes up till the end of the 4th semester, placements at IBS Mumbai are decent but there is huge competition in placement due to a large number crowd and one should be prepared for this as good companies come with good package in the starting period of the placement. Average running placement for the college is 5.5 - 7.5 lakhs. There are few foreign placements as well with huge package but they take very few in number too, and honestly, this college attracts more of sales and marketing profile jobs which means finance has huge competition when it comes down to their placements and HR is very very low or for that matter operations is also not that great.

Talking about course fees which are 8 lacks 21 thousand for 2 years, the top 10% gets the scholarship amount back in form of a cheque. IBS Mumbai provides various options to those who are looking to take up loans. IBS Mumbai provides great assistance with your summer internship but the disadvantage is that many companies do not provide stipend during this period and placements are decent too as there are plenty of options majorly for marketing than finance then operations and finally with HR. the average running package is somewhere around 6-8 lakhs, per annum varies on the basis that some are fixed and some have variable component.

Well, it's very unfortunate for us that we are the batch of 2020-21 where we did not have any other motion available than zoom, although the college is located right in the heart of Mumbai with companies surrounded all over in Powai, college doesn't have a separate building of their own rather they are situated in Hiranandani complex having 4 separate floors for college space.

Yes, GD/PI was there before admissions which were not that competitive it's fairly easier than other B-schools out there. Process for admission is pretty smooth and I don't think any special preparation is required for these interviews but still if you want to seek some kind of preparation YouTube would suffice for the same.
