Remarks

Aligarh Muslim University is one of the central universities in India. It’s name is enough for it’s academic reputation and value. I got into Diploma in Engineering through a common entrance test done by Aligarh Muslim University itself. Since, I was an internal ( completed my high school from AMU itself ). I had an internal quota which made me easier to get shortlisted for admission. I had a 131 rank in the chance memo and easily got the mechanical branch as that's what I wanted to go for. I had the other branches available to me as well. The entrance consisted of 100 questions one mark each. It comprised of Indo-Islamic, English, science and math's.

Course Curriculum Overview

Well technically Aligarh Muslim University has the biggest technical workshop in India. And one of the oldest as well. The faculty was never a problem as there were teachers specialized in every field of engineering. Since, the minimum qualification for teaching was PhD itself. Hence there was no problem regarding the teaching quality. In the last one year, AMU has started teaching review method through online forms as well. The exams were not tough to pass, one who would has studied throughout sincerely could even score good marks.

Course Fees: INR 4000 per year

Placement Experience

Placements has been an issue for AMU for some past years. However, with the new TPO officer, AMU has seen growth in campus placements in the past 2-3 years. Different companies do visit AMU for the final year campus placements and seminars, but only a few bunch of students could clear the interviews.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees of Aligarh Muslim University is near to nothing. Just the first year fees gets into a 5-digit figure. Else, for the remaining years, I goes around 4-6k. There are different types of state and national scholarships apart from the alumni scholarships for students.

Campus Life

AMU has a totally different environment. Once you enter it, it doesn’t feel like a college but like a second home. With different clubs related to films, music, drama and literary-debating. AMU in it’s even semester has a load of cultural festival with each department and club having its fest on national and international level.

Actually I didn't research on the placement. But in college campus I saw many boards of placed students and the average package is around 4-4.5lakh per annum.and college data says about 90%of students are placed. I am preparing for both off-campus and on campus placement.

My Biggest reason to choose this subject to I like art related work,so I choose this subject. One advantage of doing this subject is that along with art,you can learn a lot from other social and cultural aspect as well. There is a need to make some improvements in this subject such a a course should be of shorter duration and the syllabus should be made a little shorter. Whatever the exam,the subject should be made a short subject with less duration and should not be of long duration.

Comapny will visit in campus after September. And here alomst 80 to 85 company visit in this college. Likes hdfc, Dabur, icici, mother dairy, wipro, Infosys and many startup companies. And almost all student got job in campus. Last year highest package is 8.5 lacs and average package is 3.5 to 4 lacs. Here almost 90-95% student placed. In starting 5-8 years I make me financially strong and learn about market and condition. After I looking for a startup.
