Priyanka Yadav's Review On Rajkiya Engineering College - [REC], Azamgarh

As it is government college so i can get education without spending much money. And I have heard about this college that you will get there healthy environment, good faculty and many more things. But i haven't found such environment. Yes, faculty is good. Infrastructure is not proper. It is under construction from past 10 years.

As i am interested in engineering, that's why i have chosen this course. I am satisfied with the faculty members and they are well qualified and have 3-4 years of experienced and their way of teaching is satisfactory. But in engineering colleges, you will find very less number of girls especially in mechanical engineering branch. In b.tech semester exams are conducted which is not much difficult to pass. You just have to clear all the concept of your syllabus. All the questions asked in the exam are from the syllabus.

From 7th semester students are eligible for campus placement. But only IT companies come for placement and their package is less than 11-12lakh per annum. So there is very less chances for mechanical engineering and civil engineering student to get placed. Till now the highest package of the batch 2019 was 10 lakh from Byjus. If you are depending on campus placements then you committing biggest mistake in your career. Because college will never care about the quality of the placement they just want that large number of students should get placed so they will always call companies which gives jobs to 100s of student but not a good package.

We have our technical fest GYANTECH (organised by mechanical engineering department) and PIXEL (organised by information technology department) in the month of February and March and sports fest VIRAJ in march. There is a technical club Yantriki club which is run by mechanical engineering department. But extra curricular activities are not properly conducted because of lots of restrictions. Classrooms are well maintained and satisfactory. You can get all your couse books in the library.

The infrastructure of our college is still in the developing stage. Hence, you can't expect modern infrastructure. Two floors are well-furnished, and the rest 2 are under construction. Labs are not well established, but they have all the machines and equipment. Full campus is enabled with the wifi but their connectivity is poor. There are no playgrounds, auditorium, gym and proper cafeteria which is quite disappointing.

Hostel facilities are good. Hostel rooms arr spacious and well constructed. But there is less number of washrooms and there is no geysers which is really uncomfortable. Mess food is satisfactory. But there is no facilities of park and you are not allowed to go outside from hostel after 6pm not even in library and labs which creates a lots of problems for girls to participate in the technical fest.
