Honest College Review

This college has a good reputation in Lucknow. The infrastructure is good. Faculty is also good but it feels like something is missing in this college. It feels like you have taken admission in school again. No college feeling. College doesn't clear the backlogs easily how much you try they only want money. College campus is very big and beautiful. The area where the college is awesome. The admission procedure is easy. The admissions are done on the basis of marks scored in AKTU exams. If you want to take admission in University which is UGC approved then there are no requirements of AKTU marks. For admission in University the only requirement is 60 % marks in PCM and if your percentage is less than 60 then also you will get admission on the basis Computer marks in 12th ( This is the procedure for B.Tech Program) there are also many other programs in the college. I chose this college because it has good reputation, it was not far from my home so no requirement of hostel and placement record is also good but not for Civil Engineering Students. For Civil Engineering Students placement is worst. There are many advertisements of this college in newspapers, social media, hoardings etc.

I chose this course because I want to work in Gulf Countries as the scope of Civil is very much in Gulf Countries.Faculty is good they treat you well. There are not much restrictions. Faculty teaches you well but there is lack of latest technology as no 3D boards only wooden boards and chalks. Student ratio is decent as I was in Civil Branch so the boys were much more in my class as compared to other branches there were only 2 girls and 58 boys in my batch. Faculty is qualified enough to teach the students of our college. Some teachers are even PhD holders. There are 2 semesters in each academic year even semester in May and odd semester in December. The exams were average but there is lots of college politics. You will get backlogs and you will not be able to clear it easily. The faculty intentionally fails the students. It is the one of the reasons you don't want to take admission here because of college politics.

My branch was Civil in B.Tech so in my college there is no placements for Civil Engineering students. So I cannot tell about the internship and stipend. Companies like Byju's, Topper, Jaro, Thakur Publications offer roles of Business Development Associate mostly for the students of BBA, BCA, MBA. For CS and IT students companies like Wipro, Godrej, Infosys, TCS, HCL offer posts as Jr. Software Engineer and other posts like that. But If you are thinking that Civil Engineering students will get placements in construction companies then you are wrong. One thing is nice that Civil Engineering students can also sit in the recruitment process in the above mentioned companies.

If I talk about the placement in this college the placement is nice. There are many companies which comes for the recruitment. As there are many companies it is not possible to tell each and every name but I will try my best.Godrej, Adani, Byju's, Pepsi, TCS, HCL, Infosys, Thakur Publications, Wipro, Ola, Tata, Topper, Jaro, Vishal Mega Mart, Shoppe and many more. The offers are made on the basis of GD,PI etc. The highest package is 23 lacs per annum which was grabbed by a guy name I don't remember. He was placed in Shoppe. There is no specific percentage criteria but minimum 60% is required. Most of the students who got placed are from BBA, MBA, BCA. From B.Tech mainly the students from CS and IT are only getting placement. For Civil and Mechanical the placement is 0%. 70%-80% students are from these programs only. Basically students gets recruited for the profile of Business Development Associate, Jr./Trainee Software Engineer. My plan is to get experience in construction company then I will go in Gulf Country.

This college is well known for its fest and tech fest. There is one major fest named UTKARSH which is held every year either in February last or March starting. The fest continues for 3 days. On last day there is a grand DJ night in which a popular celebrity always comes. In UTKARSH everything is covered nothing is left behind. So you will enjoy it. In Babu Banarasi Das Educational Group we have a state level playing ground. Every type of sports is there. There are plenty of books are available in library as it is big enough. There are many social groups, clubs and website for students.

Fees for my B.Tech program was around 500000. It will be more if you are a hosteler as I was a day scholar. There are scholarships in the college. 1. Scholarships for rank holders of college on the basis of marks scored in semester exams which is given by college.2. Uttar Pradesh Government Scholarship for students of Uttar Pradesh.3. Minority Scholarship for Minority Quota.There was no placement for Civil Engineering Students. But other program's placement record is good. From our batch not a single student was placed anywhere.

As I have already mentioned above that I was not a hosteler. My home was near the college only so I was doing up and down on regular basis. My friends were there who were living in college hostel. So I cannot tell the exact details but I will make sure that the details which I will give will be quite enough. The college hostel is average only but the food is below average my friends use to eat outside only some of my friends even left the hostel after 1st Year because of the food and facilities. The fees is also very much as compared to the hostels outside the college. So I will prefer that don't choose college hostel. Registration process is not very tough just fill the form complete the formalities pay the fees thats it. The best part about the locality is that you will get everything in this locality. From food to clothing everything. There is mall in front of the college only named CROWN. There are many hostels near the college campus which are better than college hostel in every aspect. The hostels near the campus are affordable and have every facility the food is also delicious. I also have eaten the hostel food which was very delicious. The rooms or PG is also affordable in Lucknow no problem in that. I will prefer that don't live in college hostel.

There was no GD, PI or Test for the admission. As I have already mentioned above that you will get admission directly on the basis of your AKTU marks. Because there total 5 campuses in Babu Banarasi Das Educational Group. 4 colleges affiliated to AKTU and one Private University UGC approved.
