Avanish Mishra's Review On Guru Ramdas Khalsa Institute Of Science & Technology - [GRKIST], Jabalpur

I faced P.E.T. (Pre Engineering Test) and gone through an intense counselling. I got this collage according to my performance in P.E.T. Admission procedure was quites easy and less tiring. I choosen Mechanical Engineering because i was passionate about machines,production and designing of materials etc.

Well course structure was same as followed by other state govt. Colleges in M.P. because all are affiliate to R.G.P.V. Technical University ,Bhopal. Library and Best in class laboratories made us easy to understand the practical and theories of Mechanical Engineering. Course structure was quite conventional if we talk about university.

They provided us some industrial visits to get a chance to know the real world atmosphere but they never provided any kind of internship. As far as I know they do not even have such links to provide internships. Because of oldest private Engineering collage, the reputation of GRKIST is good in nearby companies and also in rest of india so if we will apply for internship that would be preferred instead of other private colleges.

For C.S.E. , Electrical and Electronics Engineering there are good placements including giants like T.C.S., Infosys and Tech Mahindra. But for Mechanical only one or two local companies. Our seniors batch got 3 Mechanical Core companies placements where 20 selected out of 70 students.

Fresher's Party - welcome party for juniors. Ganesh Pooja - If you are going to live hostel life in GRKIST then this will leave you astonished and amazed.This festival they celebrate till 10th day. They also pick Ganesh Murti (Clay Sculpture) and drain that in nearest pond on 10th day with all cultural activities

Compare to other private Engineering colleges the fee structure is very good and affordable. This college run by Guru Gobind Singh Educational Society which is an nonprofit organisation. That supports this collage to overcome with any sudden money problem. College bus and hostel fees are also affordable and less then compared to any other college.

Yes for toppers our college gives reward. Also scholarship for SC, ST, OBC candidates through M.P. Govt. Disabled people were also getting scholarship from M.P.Govt. Sometimes our college waived fee for those who can not afford to pay complete fee. Loan were offered by an bank tied up to GRKIST.

Campus life was awesome because of 156 acres campus we were free to explore whole area. Canteen and Nescafe were favourite Hangout places inside the college. Gender ratio was perfect. Diverse atmosphere ,all were treated well without any partiality. We lived best time of our life in this collage.

Living in Hostel was the best ever experience of my life. 2 beds in each room. All rooms were having compulsory windows opening towards greenery to provide good ventilation and fresh air. Hostel was in walking distance from college.

Yes. Some of the alumni are very helpful but some guys lost contact. Frankly speaking I never contacted any of my seniors after the completion .

This was the disappointing factor because when we took admission in 2010 batch that time there were very few experience faculties. We heard that once D.K. Sharma ( Writer of Basic Mechanical Engineering Book - which is used in almost every Engineering college including IITies ) was H.O.D. of Mechanical Department.
