Remarks

The college selects students based on Mains score. As a Central Government university, the fees is not as high in other private colleges. Secondly, being situated in the middle of the city, gives the students ample opportunities and grow and gain exposure. The atmosphere of Panjab University is quite soothing and helps you to grow intellectually.

Course Curriculum Overview

The faculties are NET qualified teachers. They have sufficient knowledge regarding their subject. the course curriculum is in sync with the industrial requirements. All in all, it is a great experience to study here.

Internships Opportunities

We get internships ahead of our job roles, in the last semester of our course, i.e. 8th sem. Companies such as Mylo, Sigma, ZS Associates, ProcDNA etc. are general recruiters who come for campus placements. Big 4 like KPMG, Delloite etc. Tech giants like Amazon, Microsoft, Samsung also are general recruiting firms.

Placement Experience

There are decent placements for CSE, IT branch. Students in EEE, ECE and Mechanical generally opt for higher studies, as in GATE, CAT, UPSC etc. The average package is of approx Rs. 5 lakh per annum.

College Events

UIET is the biggest department of PU. UIET has an annual fest, called Goonj. PU has 2 annual fests, Jhankaar and Aagaz. So, basically being a student of UIET, helps you being a part of 3 fests. There are a number of clubs and committees in UIET, for overall personality development. PU provides you with the finest college life.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure - 80k per year. Scholarships are available for economically weaker students. Also many state scholarships are also availed by students. Placements are good with an average CTC of approx Rs. 5 lakhs.

Hostel Facilities

Hostels are available for PU, not for UIET seperately. Hostels are alloted on the basis of merit. and if you are not in the list of hostel allotment, then you need to search for a PG. Sector-15 & 37 are the best localities to search for PG.

Hostel Fee: INR 24000 per year

Admission

No. We had to sit in the JAC Chandigarh counselling, with our mains score. The merit list was generated based on the score. During subsequent rounds, the seats get filled and with every round, students have chance to upgrade their branch.

Placement Experience:

Placements of this college is better than many tier 2 NITs . Students are eligible for placement in 8th semester. If we talk about the top companies visiting PEC, these are Apple, Google, Microsoft, American Express, McKinsey, JP Morgan etc.

Placement Experience:

from 5 semester you become eligible for internship and pre placements i think 56 percent of the students get placed i haven't thought much about what i need to do after the degree but definitely i would be considering gaining some experience in this degree to enhance my skills

PEC is great choice

Placement Experience:

placements from rti report placement percentage is over 75 + and in ee its 74 percent cse 93 and ece 84 percent avg for cse is 18 lakhs and ece is 16 lakhs ee its 14 lakh and other branches have 8 10 lakh avg but the placemnt percentage in mechncial is 70 percent other branches like civil production have a little less percentage of placements but they have opportunities in college

Placement Experience:

For placement students can apply in their last year respectively Top recruiters at UICTE include Reliance, GAIL, Honeywell, ExxonMobil, and Technip, offering many roles, but exact offer numbers aren't publicly available. Highest package for chemical engineering this year is 12 LPA and average is around 5 to 7LPA I want to do something of my own after this degree

There are on compus placement and few companies visit. But very few students are only selected and offered a package of around 5-6 lpa. Oracle, fy, hdfc etc In percentage placement is around 10%. I plan to apply for off campus placements and don't have any plans for mtech or any other cource.

I want to go abroad for higher studies and after that work for a multinational company. I will be able to learn so much about what has been taught to us, the highest package that was given was 42 lakh per annum and the minimum is 10 lakh per annum and CSE gets the highest number of the package.

BEST you can get in low JEE ranks. GREAT ROI.

One can get admission in UIET, CHD by applying for JAC CHANDIGARH counselling. One has to give JEE mains exam and based on its score, JAC Chandigarh conducts counselling through which admissions process occurs. I applied for YMCA Faridabad and DCRUST Murthal as well. I also applied for JOSAA counselling but due to my low rank in JEE mains, I couldn't get any NIT or IIIT. I was getting YMCA or DCRUST but choose UIET over them, because of its location. It is situated in main Chandigarh and very near to my home. Moreover, it's placements are better than both of them....Read More
