Rohan Gupta's Review On Jaypee Institute Of Information Technology University - [JIIT], Noida

Its located at the prime location of noida not like other colleges which are located in the outskirts of the city, it has metro connectivity and mode of transportation is easily available here. The coding culture in the college is very good and is among the best coding colleges of india and you can see the students in different comptetions along with the students of IIT's and NIT's.The campus is small since it is located at the prime location but it is very well constructed. So the admission depends on the mains rank of yours and you can apply by going to there website and you can apply after getting your mains rank. The reason for preferring this college was it has great coding culture along with the prime location and the rank of the college is also pretty decent and its better than the private colleges of india, infact its better than most of the government colleges of india except IIT's and NIT's, still if you work hard here you will get ample of opportunities.

So i opted for Integrated (Btech+Mtech) ECE since my rank was low in mains.The faculty to students ration is 1:25. Most of the faculties are Phd. The teaching method is different and they almost follow the curriculum of IIT's. There are lecture classes of the subject along with the tut classes where the students can get personal attention and can clear there doubts. There are 3 exams T1,T2 and T3. T1 and T2 are of 20marks and T3 are of 35 marks. All the exams are equally important and carry weightage. The level of the exams are pretty good, you have to understand the concepts properly and cant pass the exams only by mugging.

The placements are pretty decent. The students become eligible for placements from 7th semester. Amazon,adobe, interview bit, future first, deloite, Nference, cognizant, infosys, wipro, argilDx and many more. The highest package offered is 28lpa by amazon and adobe both. Around 95 percent of the students get placement and the median package is around 5-6lpa. I have got campus placement, so i will be joining the company after getting the degree.

There is an annual fest named IMPRESSIONS and its great along with that there is also a tech fest which are conducted every year. Both of the fest are great along with the fest there is ethnic night, freshers and other activities for the students. The books and journals in the library are abundant. It is one of the best libraries and is very big. The classrooms are modern and contaion screen and projector in every class and most of the classes are done through the projector for better understanding. There is a sports event which is conducted every year. You can play Table tennis, basketball, volleyball, badminton, cricket, squash. Proper courts are available for all the above mentioned sports and you can see the students playing these sports after the classes. There are 2 gyms with proper facilities. There are many clubs that you can join, like thespian for drama, parola for literature, robotics club, coding club all the club are proper functional and many students participate in them.

In my time the fee was fixed which is 2lakhs per annum, in which 1.4lakh was for tution fee and 60thousand was development fee but now the fee structure has changed and the fee is variable like fee in 1st year will be different and then it will increase in 2nd year and so on.There are scholarships for the up students provided by the UP government if you maintain 7cgpa+ and no there is no on campus jobs available.

The rooms contain AC which are functional from 8PM to 6AM. The room is double sharing with adequate space. It contain a bed, an almirah, table, chair, drawer for each student. The meal quality is pretty decent and the menu is changed every day. The registration process for hostel is at the time of registartion of college where you are asked that if you want a hostel or not and the hostel is pretty affordable. If you have to rent a room or pg then you can rent in Indirapuram, Ghaziabad.
