My alma mater

I choose this college because the education in it is quite affordable and the infrastructure is very well planned. This college is located in 450 acres of land. The admission process of this college is vai Jee mains and through counseling of Jossa. It is a deemed university and it is fully funded by central govt.

The course curriculum is very well rounded. There are quite elective subjects to choose from and and overall balance is maintained between each and every subject matter. The student ratio is 10:1 and most of the teachers are post graduate and doctorates in thier respective fields. Most of the techers adopt a hybris method of teaching i.e. black board and digital learning. There are 2 minors of 15 marks each and 1 major of 50, 5 assignment of 2 marks and a quiz of 10 marks. A student is expected to score minimum 40 marks to get passed in that particular subject. The exams are of medium level. It required a decent level of preparation to pass the exams.

I did an intership by Tata consultancy services. The name of the internship was TCS ion learning - young professional in which I learnt Communication Skills Presentation Skills Soft Skills Career Guidance Framework Resume Writing Group Discussion Skills Interview Skills Business Etiquette Effective Email Writing Telephone Etiquette Accounting Fundamentals IT Foundational Skills Overview of Artificial Intelligence*(Source: NPTEL)

Placement in our college is average. Many companies visted our college for on campus placement some of them were Capgemini,cognizant, wipro, tata consultancy services, welspun. Average package offered by each of the company was 4 LPA. 30-40 % of the students are able to get placement in our college. The highest package till now has been 5 LPA offered to 2 students by infosys.

Life in college is very entertaining. Every year we have a college fest call kewzair in which different teams participate from various colleges and bag prizes. There is central library and also digital library in which we can have access to any books. Classroom have a hybrid model in which blackboard and smart board is available. There are plenty pf playing area in our college. There is cricket stadium, football ground,basketball ground and lawn tennis. There is gym and swimming pool also. There is SAC(Student activity centre )also in which there are all sorts of games namely chess squash carram board and table tennis. There are various groups such as robotics team by the name of endeavour.

The fee structure is quite affordable. It is 26000 per semester and there are scholarship available in the name of SLIET merit scholarship (SMS), NSP(National scholarship portal),UP scholarship amd campus placement is also there.Several companies visted the campus for placement. Some of them were Capgemini, TCS, Infosys, Hcl etc.

Hostel is quite furnished mess food is also fine.I get monthly bill of 2500. When we first get to admission then hostel is alloted automatically by the warden. There are 10 boys hostel and 1 girls hostel. Every hostel have its own mess where one gets food. We have our own menu of food. The food is vegetarian.
