Going to college in a nutshell

It was in the city I lived, so less expenses. It is well known in Lucknow and the state Uttar Pradesh, academic curriculum was impressive, fantastic placement records. Admission process is easy. One need to have above 60% in whatever stream they had in 12th. The facilities are good, labs, instruments, hostel, transportation for day scholars everything is good. Blog I don't remember but I searched like best universities in Lucknow and it came on top so I went like that.

Computer Science is one thing that I am interested ever since I started learning to code from 11th standard. I love how simply codes can solve such big mathematical problems. This university offers great labs, faculties who graduated from top institutes like the IITs. So, there is no compromise on the studies. Practical knowledge is the key that I got while studying here. A lot of workshops and seminars are arranged for gaining knowledge and follow ups are also done. Faculty ratio is like there is one teacher per 30 students for each subject respectively. Teaching method of the faculties is like first they give brief and then examples of same, then practical wherever required. Passing exams for internals is on the basis of how alert you are while in the classroom sessions as faculties explain the procedures and examples and on that basis it can be cleared 60% and rest is the students preparation and for the externals you need extra preparation. Terms are like internals it used to happen after every 2-3 weeks. So, there were four internals and then the end semesters.

I took an off campus internship with a startup who works for home and industry automation. I worked there as a developer. I worked on a live project for smart meters in Lucknow and worked on the website.

Placements start from the 7th semester and the students are eligible from the starting if their final year. Companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Cognizant, SAP, Capegemini, Amazon, Media tech and many more came to our campus and selected students according to their needs and in the basis of the exams we cleared. Almost 90% students got placed in these top companies. Highest package was 24lakhs and average is about 4-5lakhs. I secured a job and that is what I am doing right now. Later I do have plans for higher studies.

Tech veda is the tech fest that happens in the campus. There are many clubs such techfusion for the technical club. Srijan club for the creative and decor people. Expressions club for the drama students. Sports club, dance club, fashion show that is Razmatazz club, gaming's club. I was a part of techfusion, srijan club, dance club and also won many certificates. Fests are conducted in the month of February. All these are run by student bodies. International MUN is also held for students so that students get better at public speaking. TEDX also happens, also many other seminars like e-submit, entrepreneur submits happen where speakers from worldwide are invited. Research paper publishing events also happens such IEEE Connect happened. Yes, we have a huge library with all course related books available, latest magazines, my favourite is the "digit" Magazine. Many journals, newspapers, general awareness books and much more. We do have e-classrooms and normal classrooms both. Fir the usual classes we have normal classrooms with tables, chairs green board, white board, chalk duster, marker pens. There are two water coolers on each floor. Two washrooms for girls and two for boys on each floor with multiple washbasins and toilets. They are properly cleaned by the cleaning people. Rooms are well ventilated with windows in each classroom. There are buildings according to each department. Lift facility is there as we have 6-7 floors in each building and for the handicap people or old people. Sports activities such as football, basketball, volleyball, cricket, badminton, tennis is there and our teams participate with other colleges. Websites are run internally between the clubs.

Fees remains same for the course you enrolled. It is same since enrollments. Any changes will happen for the next batch. Scholarships are on the basis of what is your family income and you scores after each year cgpa. Jobs start coming from 7th semester and I got placed in the 8th week after the on campus jobs start coming.

I was a day scholar but I have been to the hostel. They are nice and big rooms. Meals are provided like breakfast, lunch, evening snacks and dinner. If you have fast they also provide food for your fast. There are two hostels inside the college campus separate fir girls and boys.

Yes, I did had to clear a personal interview with the panel. So, I was interviewed on the same day I went for the admission. There was no group discussion or written test. The students get admission on the basis of the marks they score in 10th and 12th. Above 60% is considered.
