Remarks
I wanted to pursue BBA and NMIMS is the best college for that. I saw the Outlook ranking of the college on the Internet. The admission process involved cracking the NMAT competitive exam. My experience in the college has been great. The college also hosts many festivals and events which provide an opportunity to grow. The only drawback was in the infrastructure area. The college is a stand alone building with no playground for any sports activity and all the classrooms are present in a single floor only.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is relevant to the Finance and Marketing departments each. The curriculum is not out dated and the faculty ensure that we gain knowledge that can be applied in life and is not just theoretical. The faculty are supportive and know their content well. They solve all our doubts regularly. The faculty:student ratio is around 1:25. The term exams were on time and the paper correction was strict to a certain extent.
Placement Experience
The students become eligible for campus placements from the fifth semester. The companies that visit the college are BCG, Duff & Phelps, Nomura, D.E. Shaw. The average package is 4 - 5 lakh. The highest salary package is 12 lakhs.
College Events
The annual fest is Vaayu which is conducted in December. All the leading books and journals including HBR were available in the library. There were no sports activity at all. The clubs that ran in the campus were TechClub, E - Cell, Rotaract Club, Enactus, Debate Club, Corporate Interface Cell and even a Literary Arts club.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees are actually a tad bit higher with the extra cost for non - native students to pay for accommodation. But in my case I lived near the institute so that was not a big problem. I am not aware of any opportunity for scholarship for my institution.
