I chose this college because first of all my parents didnt want me to leave my hometown for graduation. And parents like PSIT because they are happy with the infrastructure and also the strictness this college provides for the student, which is generally hated by the students
Course Curriculum Overview
the college has no specific course curriculum and the faculties are not at all good. Everyone in the college is only focussed on attendance and there is a rule for 90% mandatory attendance failing which a student has to pay heavy fine per semester(around 5k to 25k).The faculty teaches only for the sake of teaching. There is no practical knowledge, only theoritical knowledge to pass the semester exams where marks are basically given on the number of pages you've filled in the exam booklet, for them, quantity matters but nit quality.
Internships Opportunities
The college is against any internship. The college does not allow students to go for their 3rd year internship. if you manage to get one internship then the college wont provide you with the NOC(No Objection Certificate) which means youll get no delegation for the lectures you miss when you are in your internship and then you'll have to pay heav attendance fone at the end and moreover there may be a possibilty of you being not allowed to sit in the final semester exam because of low attendance
Placement Experience
Placement percentage of students is good because of the mass recruiters like infosys wipro capgemini and many more. 90% of the students are placed but those 90% have a package of 3-4 lacs only. If no campus placement if offered, then students are also called after one year from the passing out date for interviews do that they can get placed
College Events
The only good thing in the college is infrastructure. They also provide fully air centralised classes which is a relief in summers for students. believe me, other than the infrastructure, there's nothing good here. the life at campus is not good because of the rules set by the campus. PSIT doesn't even have a proper canteen. The canteen is only open 1 hour during the lunch time in the whole day where each and every of the college student is there to buy something and because of all the rush, few people end up waiting for the order and starving.I would also like to tell you the kind of hectic time table scheduled by them. We had our college timings from 9-5 monday to saturday and there were 8 continous classes/lectures back to back of 50 minutes and we had to sit in the same class for the 6 lectures and then 2 lectures LAB
Fee Structure And Facilities
the fee Structure is bearable but the main problem is of the attendance fine. PSIT usually earns 50% amount of the tution fees from the attendance fine. 80% of the students are not able to meet the criteria of 90% attendance and then they have to pay fine.There's a hike of around 10k to 15k every year.As of now, PSIT fees 1,60,000 per year.
