The reason for choosing because of it's academic prospects. Very updated and effective curriculum with a good teaching faculty. The assessment system was also good compared to other colleges in the same area. In the bad aspects, projects assigned and labs were not successful to provide enough learning of the field and subject. Admission is on the basis of JEE Mains Rank. The admission process started on 24th July'2016 and after giving a preference of streams, the respective was assigned. I saw a review of my college at www.shiksha.com

I chose this course because I wanted to learn computer science. It also had several job opportunities. During my time, I developed much interest towards software architecture and programming. For faculty, I had about an average of 6 to 7 subjects per semester and 2 to 3 labs for practical. For every teacher, there were 2 batches assigned, each batch had about an average of 20 students. Teaching was decent and I never faced any issues regarding understanding of subject, clearing of my doubts and during my assessment. Exams were conducted 3 times in a semester, about after every 1 and a half month time, assessment was taken on the progressed topics of the subject. The exams were not difficult to pass but it was hard to score high marks.

Yes. I did internship at Thales India. My stipend was 15K per month. I was given a project that performed End to End Testing of The product of my Department. My tasks were to delivery some clean, utility code and keep my progress updated and track any errors.

Placement Placement of JIIT is very nice. During my final year many companies visited my campus. Their package ranged from 4 LPA to 28 LPA. Many big companies like Delloite, DE Shaw, Google and Amazon came for placement. Highest package was given by Amazon which was 28 LPA after 6 months of internship. Their role was of Software Development engineer. Some companies came for diversity hiring which gave female students some very good opportunities. Very few companies came with a bond in their job offer. Companies came from different types streams. They offered role in field of IT Industry, Business Analyst Roles, Software Developers, Engineers, Quality Assurance, Full Stack, DevOps, Data Engineer, Cloud Practitioner etc. Students getting placed were about 90 to 95%. My plan was to get placement after completion of my degree.

The annual fest of college is called Converge. It is the Tech as well as cultural fest of college. Library of the campus is full of quality books and journals. I mainly used journals and e-books during my time. Classroom, are air-conditioned and have white boards and projectors for displaying the content. The main study material was present online in form of power-point presentation and pdfs. College has many clubs, few examples are VamUnique (Dancing Group), Fortissimo (Music Club), Aura (Photography), Panache (Modelling Society) and Aakriti (Graphic Designing Club). There is also a football team of JIIT. The college has 2 playgrounds for field sports, a badminton court and a table tennis areas.

There is fixed fees for every batch. The fee doesn't increment for the same respective batch. For every next set of batch, I noticed there was increment in fee for 10K to 15K for the fees of one total year. External policy such as any reimbursement can be issued from college and it also provides an internal criteria for scholarship on the basis of college marks. I got an on campus placement for a package of 3.4 LPA.
