Galgotias college life

Because of its placement record, its fame, name, quality of education. Galgotias had a big brand value. I have choosen it because everybody tells me that in the pvt college list galgotias is the top college. So I have choosen it. I have got a good rank in uptu. So I got it in my first choice.

Course curriculum was accurate, most of the teachers were Ph.d holders, or else they must be studied or completed his/her degree from IIT's or NIT's. Course finishing time was good. Faculties have there own short notes, they will teach you accordingly. Some of the teachers were best in their field, but some of the teacchey don't even know about their subjects.

Yes college also provides opportunities for internship. But I did my internship from out campus side. College have it's different criteria for internship i.e percentage, your project theme, your academic background etc etc.

Number of companies comes to galgotias but most of them are for cs and it students. Core students have less opportunity related to placement. Placement for CS and IT students it is about 80-90%, but for core branch it is like 15-20% only.

Life in the campus is awesome. You will get to know new new type of people. You batch will have students from every standard i.e poor, middle and rich. But it will depends on you how you deal with all of them. You will get new new friends. As the strength of the college is very high. So you might not get chance to live in the campus hostel. Most of the students( girls and boys) lives in out campus hostel, because they are affordable with all the basic amenities. In the college there are lots of clubs like camera Club, dance club, music club, rotract club, drama club, nukkad natak club, writing club, fashion club etc etc. The campus have 5 blocks. D block is for first year students only. E block is for CS, IT students only for 2nd year to 4th year. C block is for EE and EEE. And B block is for civil and mechanical. A block is an admin block. You will get library at the right hand side of the main enrty gate of the campus. There are two buildings for hostel. The bigger one which is 8 storeys building is a girls hostel, and a 4 storey building is for boys hostel.

If you're from sc/st background then you will definitely get the 100% tution fees from the up govt in the form of scholarship. But if you're from gen/obc background then you may not the 100% scholarship, you may get 50-70%, depending on the income certificate of your father. Campus placement for CS, IT, EC students is very good, in my time it was near about 80-90%. But for core branch, you will feel some lack of placement. As core companies rarely visit to your college, and by luck some 2 3 companies of core came to your college then they create a different criteria i.e above then 75% of academics can only be sit in the interview. And the avg package would be 2.5 lac only. So for core branch you will have less opportunities. And in last you may choose some BDA type of job, which is not any relevant to your field.

Campus hostel is a little bit expensive then the out campus hostel. As in campus hostel the minimum price was 83000 per person for 4 seater room (non ac) boys hostel. I don't remember about girls hostel. And AC rooms were 1,20,000 for 2 seater. And in campus hostel doesn't also provide laundary in the same charge. They charge extra for laundary. But I lived in out campus hostel. There are 20+ options for out campus hostel with the better amenities then the in campus hostel. You will get 3 seater non ac room with only 62000 with all the amenities like wifi, laundary, iron, 4 times meal, transport facility. And upto 95k you will get 2 seater AC rooms in out campus hostel with all the above amenities. As there is lot of competition so out campus hostel try do its best for you. I if you're looking for a better place within the affordable price then go for out campus hostel.
