Remarks
Since it's a government college and because of its reputation, the majority of students get placement. There are enough clubs to help you explore your hidden talent and interest. The campus is also quite satisfying, the cafeteria is the only place where you gonna get something to eat or drink. The library is large enough to have almost every required book which you may need. Faculty isn't the best like most of the time it seems like we are still in school and going through the same culture of mugging the courses. They don't have a canteen. You will be getting several assignments and other stuff, which will consume most of your time and you won't be able to concentrate on other important things. Fees are too higher than other colleges. Since this college is in my locality and is quite reputed, even some of my close relatives and friends suggested me this college to me.
Course Curriculum Overview
Engineering was my childhood dream and since I got decent marks in boards and jee. So, I decided to join the Btech program. Faculty isn't upto expectations like they work hard but they don't interact with students much. There are around 140 students in my branch from them almost 45% of students weren't even attending the classes throughout 1st semester. But in the 2nd-semester classes are divided into 4 parts, each interacted with different teachers, which surely increased the interaction percentage. No doubt, faculty is highly qualified but talking about teaching methods, they just do their jobs like there's no healthy conversation between staff and teachers to talk beyond course. Even there's a communication gap between the management faculty and students. Most of the time it takes months to reach out to the management staff with our problems. Since everything is going online. So there was nothing to worry about passing the exams but for sure term exams were on time.
Placement Experience
After 7th-semester students become eligible for campus placement. L&t, Infosys, Accenture are the companies that visit the campus. 3 offers were made The highest package was 8lacs and the lowest was 2.5 lacs Only 4% are placed this year. Maybe continuing my startup plans
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees are too high as compared to other colleges affiliated with RGPV. It costs almost 110000 for the first year even when you are a localite ( no cost of hostel and food) . Think about those who are from other states and cities. Scholarships are also available but that too doesn't help every student, it's like barely 2% of the students get scholarships. No proper financial assistance was provided, there's a lot of communication gap between the college staff and students which makes things go beyond the worst.
Campus Life
No specific annual fest. Books and journals are available in the college library. The faculty of the library and its management are quite appreciable. Sports and extracurricular activities are also focused throughout your journey but there isn't a specific area for every activity like for basketball, of course, there's a basketball court but for dancing their's no room specifically assigned to dance club members. Every group has its on-page on Instagram and specifically, everything goes on through email. Just search MITS on Instagram and you will get autosuggestions of every club page.
