JIIT-Top Engineering College in Delhi-NCR

I opted for this college considering its reputation, location, infrastructure, decent placements. It is considered one of the top engineering colleges in the Delhi-NCR Region. The campus is not very large but the architecture is really commendable. Despite having a small campus area, it has everything which a good engineering college must have. The campus is lush-green and beautifully designed. Infrastructure is one of the strongest aspects of JIIT. Its reputation in society is also positive. The quality of education being provided here is of great value. The college has a state-of-the-art campus that is well-equipped with smart classrooms, internet, Wi-fi connectivity, environmentally conditioned Academic blocks, modern laboratories, a learning resource center, and Annapurna(Mess). It also has faculty and student residences. The Training and Placement Cell is also very active. Every year hundreds of companies visit JIIT's campus to provide jobs to young minds.

Course curriculum & faculty members are up-to-the-mark. The course structure is nicely designed with proper emphasis on course outcomes. Electronics & Communication is one of the core branches of Engineering which is one of the reasons behind me choosing this course. Almost all the teachers are PhDs in their domain and the quality of teaching is above average. Term exams are always conducted within the tentative schedule and whether it is easy or difficult to pass the exams, depends on individual students.

Summer Internship is provided to students completing their 3rd year in B.Tech. Several companies like Wipro, Infosys, Intuit, HCL, Adobe, Amazon, Coding Ninjas, Coding Blocks, Goldman Sachs, etc. offers internship to students of JIIT.

Students become eligible for placements from the 7th semester. Companies like Adobe, Amazon, DE Shaw, Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, Google India, Deloitte, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, Ericsson Global, Samsung, PayTm, Airtel, etc. visits college every year. The highest package offered was 43.17 lacs by Adobe which was given to 4 students in 2020. Over 98% of students got placed in 2020.

Fees hike is possible basically in hostel fees when there is inflation in a market economy. The cost to study is slightly difficult to afford considering the middle-class group. One may need financial support like an Education loan.

Usually, in the month of February, our annual techno-cultural fest named "IMPRESSIONS" is conducted. There are several techs and non-tech clubs in the college including CICE, IEEE, PTS, Crescendo(Music hub), JPEG(photography club), and many others. Classrooms are well-equipped with projectors, whiteboards, computers, centralized air-conditioning, and proper seating facilities. There is a playground in which one can play cricket, badminton, volleyball, basketball, etc. The library is very well maintained with almost all the books and journals required for study for every category of student.

The facilities provided in the hostel include a centralized air-conditioning double-sharing room containing two beds with mattresses, two almirahs, two tables and two chairs, R.O. water, clean and hygienic washrooms, and 24*7 security. Mess is also included in the hostel which provides decent quality of food. The meal schedule or menu is properly designed and is indicated at the starting of every week. Hostels are allotted basically on the basis of rank secured in the entrance exam(JEE Main). The hostel can be considered as affordable keeping in mind the location of the college and the kind of facilities being provided to students.
