The admission process was smooth . Important dates related to the admission process was released on the official website of the college. The college has excellent faculty , infrastructure, discipline and it has smooth functioning as well. It is one of the oldest college situated in the heart of Kolkata . All these aspects together helped me choosing this college over others.

I chose bcom with accounts specialization because I used to have good knowledge and liked accounts as a subject in school. It is a girls college. The faculty in the college are highly skilled and specialized in their respective fields which adds to the better teaching and learning process. The process academic assessment is very systematic , their internal assessments as well as external exams conducted in each semester. It maintains regularity and attendance of student by giving 5 marks to the attendance .

Companies like Kotak Life Insurance with 3 months internship provided 14 k stipend and local firm situated in Kolkata like M/S Goyal & Suraj Co. CA internship opportunity for audit executive with 8k -10 k stipend .

Students are eligible for placement from 5th semester itself. There are 15-20 companies coming every year for the same . Some prominent names are Deloitte , EY ,Wipro, Indigo etc . Average no of offers made by all companies are 10 per company. The package ranges from 2 LPA to 4 LPA in starting of the job. My plans after getting the degree is to do masters .

The college has a very reasonable fee structure which includes all lab charges , library charges and examination fee . Each semester we had to pay 25k approx. Talking about the campus placement I would like to say that all reputed companies for example the big 4 (Deloitte, EY, PWC etc) took part in our campus placement every year. Many other companies like wipro, indigo also come to provide job as well as internship opportunity also.

Every year in winter annual fest is conducted . There are different groups for different categories such as placement cell , music club etc run by students . The classroom is well equipped with digital equipment like projectors and mic for the teachers to educate the students. There is volleyball tournament held every semester and there is assuming pool in the college campus. The placement cell is run by students to help their classmates in finding right information regarding internship and other job opportunities.
