Remarks
It's one of the best commerce colleges in Kolkata after Goenka & Xavier's, u can google it too. Here the professors are top-notch, quality education is given to all. But most importantly there's an attendance issue. You have to attend college every day. Very much strict in attendance otherwise it's very good only for commerce. Basically, you have to score 90-94% to get into the day section that's coed one. Otherwise 85-90% for morning & evening section. They are not coed. If you don't get a chance either in Goenka or Xavier's you can opt for this. Other than this no other college is up to mark for commerce in Calcutta. P.s:- you can look for SSY & JDBI if u are female.
Course Curriculum Overview
The college is mainly known for its commerce faculty. Good colleges for BCom are very few in Kolkata so I'll be suggesting this. In the day section there are total of 132 students. Girls 45%. Boys 55%. Morning is totally for girls The evening is for boys. All the professors are highly talented & they help a lot tbh. Any doubt any problem they are always ready to help. Special mention:- Here before your every semester a unit test is taken by the college itself.
Placement Experience
The final year of BCom ( From the 6th semester) you are eligible to sit for placements. According to my knowledge that I have seen in college placement notice board- TCS, AMAZON, AXIS BANK, IBM, COCENTRIX, INDIGO came here for placements. Very few students are recruited. Like only the top 5-6% of the batch gets placed. The package you may expect 17000-25000 per month. Don't expect much in a UG degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees are minimal here. Per year it's about 3000 something. I can't recall the exact amount:) sorry. Here companies come in the final year of BCom to recruit. As per my knowledge that I have seen companies like TCS, INDIGO, ICICI BANK, AXIS BANK, CONCENTRIX, AMAZON came. I don't know much. These companies I have seen in the college placement notice boards.
Campus Life
Fests are conducted very little here:)) Sad reality. Books are more than enough u may find in the library. Inter-school sports happen every year in this college. NCC is also there in this college.
