I have applied through the Anna University counselling process and chose Sree Sastha Institute of Engineering and Technology for my undergraduate course. I am interested in science, so I selected B.Tech in Biotechnology. I selected Sastha because It was one of the best institutions in Chennai also it is quite travelable from my residential place. Good Environment to learn and achieve your goals. Quality teaching and experienced professors. Job opportunities on the college campus.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum mainly based on practical knowledge and teaching method will be progressive and advance. Exams will be held for 8 semesters and unit tests at each interval will be very useful to score high marks in university exams.

Course Fees: INR 8 per year

Internships Opportunities

Yes, the college conducts many internships by giving students practical knowledge about the scientific process in the laboratory. Also, the college offers internships to other institutions. I have attended internships at Pasteur Institute., Life Cell, ABC Techno labs. I completed my final year project in Centre for DNA Fingerprinting and Diagnostics.

Placement Experience

Many companies visited our college for campus requirements. Mainly includes Zifo RnD Solutions, Life-cell, Domex, Infosys, Gene X, Apex Biotechnology, Caprienzymes etc. 100% of students will be recruited through the college campus itself.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure is comparatively moderate in our college when compared to other colleges in Chennai. First graduation and scholarships are available to students. I got a job in Pharamaspectra located in Guindy with a monthly payable of 16k and it is based on performance and experience.

Campus Life

Annual and tech fest will be conducted every month in any department. This will be followed by a team of members. Classrooms are well infrastructured with smart class and good clean environment. Science club and Mentor classes will be held every week to get feedback from students.

Interview Experience

No, I didn't face any interview like group discussions. Just a normal introduction about ourselves. The admissions based on the Anna University application process. The certification process is mandatory where they check all our grades.

Specific schedule is not followed in college regarding the academic and co curricular activities. Sudden decisions will be taken by the management which is a bit difficult for the students and faculty too. There were times where faculties are fed up of management rules and decisions.

1.) Placement begins from the pre-final year and we are allowed to apply for companies from the final year. 2.) Around 70% of the class gets placed in reputed companies with an average CTC of 4-8 LPA. 3.) Along with core biotech companies, many IT companies are also hiring students at a very decent package. 4.) I plan to pursue a master's after this course.

Students become eligible for placements in their final year. Many reputed companies like accenture, TCS, zoho, HCL, etc. visited and many of my friends also got placed with a good package. The highest package from my batch was 50lpa in company called motorq. The average package is around 4lpa.

Placement Experience:

The students become elgible for placements right from the 5th semester of their course work. The students who have no standing arrears become elgibile in the first place. There are many companies visiting the college where Infosys, Cognizant, Virtusa are the mass recruiters. The are many other companies like TCS, Wipro, Zoho etc. visiting the college placement drive. On overall 90% of students gets placed every year. The highest package of 25lakhs per annum was offered by amazon for 3 students. My plans after getting degree is to get placed in any of the company.

From final year students and 3rd-year students eligible for attending the campus placements in this campus so many companies are there like Wipro, wheels India, so many IT companies in this average package starting as 18000 to 40000 students should have a minimum percentage of 6.80cgpa eligible for placement I completed the degree I got a placement on IT company.
