An insight to Lucknow Christian degree college..

I took admission in July 2017 in M sc chemistry. From graduation itself, I was fascinated by chemistry and hence decide that I complete my master's degree in chemistry. The online registration process began at the end of May and the procedure of admission started on July 1 st week. I chose Lucknow Christian College as was advised by my friend that LCC is one Institute that is the best faculty for chemistry. The admission process in college began with the verification of documents with respective department heads and then asked to pay fees via demand draft to the principal of Lucknow Christian degree college. After this, on 20 th July was the orientation day where I met my classmate and seniors. The whole process was very smooth. I also saw some good reviews in India today magazine about college.

I choose Msc in chemistry because I am extremely interested in chemistry and the research field. I want to make my career in the research and teaching field. In Lucknow Christian degree college, all the faculty are so helpful done his/her p HD from good Institute. There is 2 chemistry lab capacity is 40 to 45 students and one full AC, digital lecture theatre. All the teachers are very good in their respective subject and take his class regularly. And also there is an internal exam (25 marks) for this teacher who takes a presentation, written exam. And attendance is also important. And after that in December our semester exam (75marks) was not so easy. After 10 days of leave from 5 January new semester started and this semester lots of department and college fest are held in college.

The Placements of my colleagues are very fine and make sure most of the students who sit for placements get through and place. Our department is visited by various pharma company like Asian paints, Dr reddy laboratory, jubilant life science limited, in 2018-2019 average placement offer approx 5 lakhs per annum. Approx 30%students selected through placement. Jubliant offers 5 to 7 posts. While Dr reddy laboratory offer 4 post and Asian paints offer 10 posts. Students which are in 4 th semester, participate in a college placement drive. My plane after Msc, I want to do a teaching job.

Fees structure for Msc chemistry in Lucknow Christian degree college is about 35000/1 year and in 2 nd year appreciate 10000/2year.so whole fees for the course is 45000 rupees. There are no examination fees taken by the college. It's bearable and reasonable. At the end of the year science students have to pay a maintenance fee for the lab, for the instrument which we have broken throughout the year. This college is aided by the University of Lucknow. So all students are eligible for central and Utter Pradesh state government scholarship, which is approx 30000/ year. College also provides financial assistance through a part-time job (data entry) through Lucknow university placement cell.

Campus life is good. The chemistry department has its own society which organized various events like quizzes, easy writing, poster presentation, national seminars, international seminar. It also provides outer visits for department students in many research labs like cdri Lucknow, itir Lucknow etc. College also organized sports events where department teams participate in various sports. The college have a very informative library. The chemistry department also has a self library which is only for M sc students. College NCC is very repetitive in utter Pradesh. A lot of movie stars come to college to promote their movies. And the year ends with a college farewell party for seniors.

The college has only one hostel. C L Bare hostel. It's only for boys. The facility in a hostel like a laundry, hot and water, tv room, study rooms, indoor sports room, sports ground, volleyball and badminton court also available. Hostel rooms are average. In hostel fees, mess charges are also included. The hostel mess is very good. The mess is provided with a sheer variety of food items that are tasty and nutritious. The hostel also provide a bed, table , chair, etc
