The Bhawanipur Educational society college is a private co-educational, undergraduate college affiliated with the University of Calcutta. The college is located at 5 Lala Lajpat Ray Sarani of the Bhawanipore area of Kolkata. Admission to this college is completely on a merit basis. As it's a private institution and has a large intake capacity with 27 sections, yes there are 27 sections in BCOM's first semester so if your percentage is above 70 then you can easily get admission here. Though morning shift cut-off ranges from 80-86 percentage. There are evening and afternoon shifts too. (Afternoon is only for girls) and the admission procedure generally takes place in the month of June/July and lasts for 15 days where 4/5 merit list comes out and the complete procedure takes place online.

The college provides both Graduate and Post Graduate courses. List of the courses that our college have is BCOM (both honours and general), BBA, BA in English honours, BA Honours in Journalism and mass communication, BA politics science honours, BA Honours in history, BA honours in Sociology, BA in Bengali honours, BSC ( in physics, chemistry, mathematics, economics, computer science and electronic honours) Mcom and MA in English. Currently, I am doing BCOM accounting and finance honours in the College and the faculties that I came across till now are really good and experienced. Overall both the faculties and facilities of the College according to my experience it's good.

Our college also has a placement cell. Students who are in the last year of their respective courses are required to register themselves online in the placement registration that is present on the College website so that they can sit for the placement after their result. So far Bhawanipur Educational society college has enjoyed an extremely high placement record. Especially in the BBA department. The placement cell draws 35 to 40 companies that include many international companies. Names of some of the companies that visited our campus are. Oracle, KPMG, Ernst and young, Axis bank, Indigo, Bharti Airtel, Tata consultancy services, Delloite, PWC, etc.

In some semesters there may be some changes so I gave you the approximate value. Coming to the scholarship that our college has to offer is completely on a merit basis. Students of the West Bengal board if their 12th board percentage is above 85 and for the ones from other boards whose 12th percentage is above 90 they are eligible for the scholarship wherein they do not need to pay their 1st-year college fees

The college campus life is vibrant and inclusive there are embracing students from all segments regardless of their religious, linguistic, economic or gender identities. Our college has well-qualified teachers, a large modern library with plenty of books from business to spiritual even our semester books at least there are five thousand books available there inside the library. The college also conducts regular programs for skill enhancement as well as social welfare which enrich the overall development of the students and also helps in bringing the best out of them. I feel so blessed to be a part of Bhaggu family. We are called as Bhaggu wale ( It means Bhawanipur ones) by other colleges.
