Remarks
I chose this college because of their curriculum and the courses they provide. They accept scores of three exams (NMAT,CAT & IBSAT). The admission process was smooth and it starts in February before the admission process few days of induction lectures are provided in the college to brief about their teaching and preparing us for GDPI required for admission. The college provides a good industry insight into classroom learning as well as practical learning.
Course Curriculum Overview
The faculty here is qualified and knowledgeable. They focus more on practical learning and we do more case studies related to our course. The curriculum here is relevant giving industrial exposure to students. The exams were on time and the level of difficulty is 4/5.
Internships Opportunities
IBS Mumbai provides quality internships and almost all the students get internships in good companies. Some of the companies which come for internship are HDFC, Aditya Birla, Wadhwa Group, Shapoorji Pallonji, Lodha Group, ACC Concrete, Bookeventz, Future Generally, and many more. I did my internship in ACC Concrete in HR and my project was Outbound Training and Experiential Learning.
Placement Experience
Students generally become eligible for placements from semester 3. Companies like HDFC, ICICI, JPMC, Aditya Birla, Motilal Oswal, Bookeventz, Lodha Group, Approximately 90 to 95% of the students get placed with an average salary. The higher package is 15L whereas, the average package is around 6.5 to 7.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is moderate. The college provides many scholarships and financial assistance. The college had tied off with financial institutions and banks to provide loans to students. The scholarship is offered to students who score 7.5CGPA and above.
Campus Life
The campus life in IBS Mumbai is amazing. We have our college fest and also monthly webinars are conducted by several domain clubs. We have a domain as well as other clubs to showcase our talents. Some of the domain clubs are Marketing 360, Synergy, Markophilia. Other clubs include Parivartan, Envouge, Rotract Club, etc.
Interview Experience
My topic for GD was Are managers leaders?. The topic was quite good with a lot of critics. The process for admission is we have to appear for the entrance exam and need a minimum score set by the college. On the exam score, we are selected for GDPI. I prepared on my own through watching GD videos and also college held briefing sessions for almost 15 days and helped us by providing some tips on how to crack GD & PI.
