Pragya's Review On Mukand Lal National College - [MLNC], Yamuna Nagar

MLN college is one of the top leading colleges in the city of Yamunanagar. The college has the best teaching faculty who takes responsibility and charge of the students. Timely tests are taken by the faculty to ensure revision of the syllabus. Many times we were given free lectures that we used to our advantage of revisions or going to canteens. However, the concept of assignment submission I felt leads to time and paper wastage. As it just involves copy-paste. It should be substituted with class discussions and student involvement. The admission process was organized in an offline manner but in the case of online enrollment, there were not enough provisions for that. Overall, the experience was good. College life teaches one of the most valuable lessons as it is instrumental in shaping the career.

I chose BCom in taxation. Because it is a professional course that opens many avenues for future career-shaping. Also studying the tax structure gives you a glance at which the economy is taxed and function. The teacher in the first year was superb, she laid a very strong foundation for tax. But later on, temporary teachers came who lacked tax knowledge. Exams were very timely but results of one-semester use to come in the next. So it makes it difficult for a student to understand if he/she has failed in any of the previous exam.

In the final year of graduation, the placements are offered. Many important and prestigious companies like Wipro, Tata, Kotak come to college which really provides an opportunity to the students to quick start their career. This really boosts confidence and provides exposure to the students.

The fee structure of the college was really affordable. The college use to hold timely competitions and offers scholarships to various students. For the students in sports and co-curricular activities, the college really sponsors their education. I did not get any scholarship or financial assistance from the college.

The social life of the college was really interactable. Students use to sit in the basketball ground, libraries, or canteen and enjoy their social life. The library of the college is really peaceful and engaging. Material of lots of subjects is available which supplements the students' preparation. NSS and NCC are the groups that are run by students in which majority of girls participate.
