Remarks
They've an Intellectual Property Cell at the campus which helps the student in the journey of filing their inventions. The Management and Cultural Fest Team gives a huge exposure to the students as I'm part of the Finance and Debate team and it has been a great learning experience so far. The Toastmasters Club helps students to develop their Public Speaking and Leadership skills as we play the roles of the President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer of the club and experience to accept responsibilities. The administration divides the students on the basis of their academic performance during each semester. I had referred to many experiences shared by the alumni on Collegedunia and Quora before joining the college.
Course Curriculum Overview
A majority of the faculty possess a PhD in the subject they teach. They offer many different methods of teaching and inculcate the practical aspect by making the students initiate an IPO and incorporate a Start-Up while teaching the concepts such as IPO and Corporation. The examinations conducted by the college majorly focuses on memorizing the concepts unlike their teaching which inculcates the practical aspects.
Internships Opportunities
There are very large firms which visit the campus for internships but the students do intern at large firms by approaching them individually. Marketing, Finance, HR, and Operations are the functions for which companies hire interns from the college.
Placement Experience
The students are eligible for campus placements from the 5th semester. Deloitte, Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, Reliance, and Amazon are a few large companies which have made offers for the students at the college.
Fees and Financial Aid
I paid 2,15,000 as the tuition fees and 15,000 as registration fees in the first year. There are many scholarships available for those who have excelled in sports or academics. The internships offered by colleges aren't from many great firms are mostly for a duration of 3 hours and unpaid. Although, there are students who have bagged an internship at Morgan Stanley, Deloitte, CRED, WeWork, Reliance, and Britannia.
Campus Life
Threshold (Management), Lasya, Prodigy (Management), Verve , and Melange (Media) are the largest fests organized by CMS for both the alumni and students from other colleges. A projector is installed in every class for the professors to present PPTs. The library apparently isn't large but there are quite a few significant books and journals available in the library. There's a in-house gym available at the campus but nothing else like a sports ground. The college Football and Cricket teams participate in many competitions and train at facilities away from campus. GrahaQ is a marketing club operated by students which provides a lot of information from the field of marketing to its viewers on its Instagram. YUVA is a student-run NGO which inculcates the skills of empathy in its students as they help the underprivileged of the society.
Interview Experience
The entrance examination involved General Knowledge, Mathematics, and Business Studies. The interview also had a few GK questions but majorly focused on the personality. To be very honest, I hadn't prepared for the examination or interview as I still had my 2nd PUC exams going on and didn't find it necessary to prepare specially for the tests conducted by the college.
