Think about 'AKGEC' before admissions

AKGEC is one of the top-rated colleges of aktu. it's a college with great infrastructure and studious environment but what needs to be taken care of is the students which have better cramming capacity and are easily able to manage the last-minute grasping techniques before exam days are the ones who can manage everything in any reputed college of aktu as what will matter is your GPA above all and since I'm a first-year student I'm not having that clear vision of the placement scenario over here but as far as I know, AKGEC has perfectly equipped labs and training centers for core branches students like mechanical engineering or electronic or electrical engineering... Coming to the coding environment n stuff... We computer science students do have to learn it more by ourselves as to date we can't actually rely upon our teachers for coding portion. Faculty members are all really focused on academics and the teaching process is of the kind which we have in good private colleges. Some professors are really very well at their work while there do exist some who do the teaching as a formality. Talking about faculty-student ratio. What we have is one section coordinator for 70 students in a section and obviously 6 teachers for their respective subjects. Teachers are mostly PhD holders or if less than there's at least a master's degree and the teaching method they follow is actually very impressive in case of those whom we consider good teachers but some professors are also there whose teaching doesn't get into students heads. The examination process is like two to three sessionals in a semester which was reduced to one due to a pandemic this year. Internals are managed through class tests and assignments that we keep getting for each unit we get completed then there is a pre University test and final Universityexam endsem

Internships are offered by highly reputed companies like Siemens, KUKA, tcs, Infosys, Tata, and a few others. The companies make the students go through few rounds namely the aptitude test and those who pass it go through the GD (group discussion) and then the PI (personal interview) round first the technical and then the HR interview but anyone scoring as more than 75% does have a chance to go through those and then somehow get good jobs. There is a training and placement department that has a tie-up with Infosys and other companies like kuka Siemens n all of which proceed to teach and train the students regarding the same.

Students are eligible for campus placement from the 7th semester and the placement scenario is very limited Infosys, Wipro, TCS are the mass recruiter for our college which takes both core and tech students but the placement package is hardly in any case above 10 lakhs. Mainly it floats around 3-4 lakhs only The Highest package availed by any student is around 12 lakhs that too off-campus. For cs it branches the average is around 5 lakh for the starting and the rest is rarely counted. Other than placement students also get to PSUs and other government jobs. The placement percentage for cse is around 75% and even that if the students are really hardworking. I to plan for getting a decent on-campus or off-campus placement till the mid of final year

The fee structure is 143000 per year for four years which needs to be paid by DD or neft/rtgs mode to the account provided by the college itself and if the student takes hostel then the fee gets increased straight up by 100000 or more in case of single-seater or two-seater. The cost to study will also include things like books of the current semester which can be easily issued from the library every semester Scholarship criteria are totally based on family income which needs to be less than 300000 for a year for a candidate to be eligible for the application of scholarship. Financial assistance is scholarship only and all this is handled by aktu only Talking about the scene of internships and on-campus jobs with stipends. There is no such availability for every student.. If you're a good student i.e if you have your GPA above 7 5 or 8 then you can avail the offers given by some companies which approach the college for interns or employees.

Annual fest or monthly tech fest kind of things is a dream for first years. There are college societies and clubs which do handle these things but in the first year you're not allowed to go through those but yes there is recruitment for those teams clubs and societies which you need to participate and qualify all their criteria for being a part of that later Books and journals have plenty available in the central library of our college. The classrooms and infrastructure of AKGEC are non-AC. Only the administrative block is air-conditioned and that too half of it. Sports and all kinds of extracurricular activities do exist there but is suggested for those students only who perform well in their academics otherwise you'll be only asked to manage your studies. The facilities provided are simple. A bed a study table a cupboard and common washrooms in every hostel. there are no AC rooms available in the name of the hostel. You need to wash your clothes yourself. Any electronic item like an electric kettle or iron is strictly prohibited in the hostel rooms and outing is not officially allowed for anyone without a parent's permission. The meal quality is fairly good. We get all variation of dishes in the mess throughout the week but as far as I've known the food quality which is pretty good in the first year gets deteriorated year by year. Registration is done after fee payment and all this is managed by the warden of the respective hostel. Room or pg is available in the very vicinity of the college near Ryan international school.

There are no basic criteria for any group discussion or personal interview for the upsee candidates. It may be there for the students who get admitted here by the management process. The process goes like your merit is considered first and a simple interview is there after you're selected in the merit process, What only will matter then is fees to be paid timely and you're in. Preparation for the interview is just general aptitude and personality tests which aren't even that significant.
