Remarks
IBS is one of the reputed B Schools in Hyderabad in terms of placement and teaching pedagogy. The admission process is easy. Students need to report to the campus with all the documents. After documentation is over, they are called for GD/PI. IBS accepts scores of CAT/XAT/NMAT. Apart from this, there is a separate entrance test called IBSAT. You can also appear for the same. On the basis of cut-off scores, students get the chance.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is well structured and is at par with the UGC guidelines. The faculty is quite good and is at par with the industry standards. Exams are conducted on a semester basis and since the intake is high, getting good grades is a bit difficult.
Internships Opportunities
Internship opportunities are available for all the students. However, students have the option to self-generate the internship on their own. Very few companies offer stipends for internships. There is a lot of learning that sits beside the textbook which you can gain through internships.
Placement Experience
Many companies like TCS, Wipeout, Cognizant, Danbury, HDFC, IDFC, etc come to the campus for recruitment. The average package varies from 7-8 lakhs. The highest package is offered by Amazon which is 14 lakhs.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is given in the prospectus. If there is a hike in fees, it will be informed well in advance. The scholarship is there for the students getting top grades. But the opportunity is less since the student strength is more.
Campus Life
The library is pretty good and you will get a plethora of books and business journals. Annual and Techno Managerial Fest is one such time when students have a gala time. Students can also work in different clubs as per different domains which interests you.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel Facility is available since the entire course is residential. Meal quality is quite good and is available thrice a day. The registration process is intimated through email. Availability of both single and double sharing rooms are there.
Interview Experience
GD/PI process is very well informed and topics are mostly from daily current affairs, economics, business news, sports, etc. After the GD process, PI takes place in various slots. I personally prepare from the current affairs magazine.
