A true Review about KLNCE

In our IT department student talk to faculties like a friend. The bad thing is everything is procedural, they teach only the curriculum, if they guide students to learn industrial required things it will be great. Basically, admission is a very easy process, we come under Anna University when you score cut off more than 140 it is enough. I scored 169 cutoffs in 2017, I didn't want to go outside Madurai. Some of my seniors told this college is good, so I selected this college.

The reason why I choose this course (B.Tech - Information Technology) is my neighbor. He did his btech information technology from Thiagarajar College of Engineering, Madurai. He doesn't go outside that much, but he do all the works with his computer. I also wanted to be like him and also I have great interest towards computer. In my department totally 2 classes are there per year. A class have around 30 - 35 students. Total faculties are around 18. Faculties are well qualified, only our department has 5 PhD holders out of 18. And some faculties are doing their PhD. They teach the topics very clearly especially when comes to programming. For a semester 3 class tests, 2 internal examination and 1 model exam are there. Class test have 1 unit, internal exam have combination of 2 units and finally we have model exam which comprises all units. Scoring mark is not that much hard, easy to score.

When comes to the internship I am not aware of other departments. In my department internship opportunity is not there upto 5th semester. From 6th semester companies will visit. Some companies ask students to do internship mandatory with them. Before 5th-semester students should look for internships by their own in some platforms like Internshala.

From the 6th semester, itself student are eligible for their placements. Once they are placed and if they have an Internship with the company, they are allowed to work with the company and on-duty also provided. Companies - Kaar Technologies, EmbedUR, Vuram Technologies, Hexaware, Cognizant, Wipro, Infosys, Lucid Imaging and many small companies visit every year The highest package is 6LPA and the average package is 3.3LPA. The previous year many companies visited campus and most all the people are selected, in this year due to Covid only a few companies are visiting and 60% of the people yet to get the offer. I got placed in MNC, so after completing my degree I want to work with that company. One important point is, students who don't have any backlog will get more opportunities to get the offer. So try to clear all your backlogs before you are eligible (6th semester)

Fee Structure is set by the Anna University. The tuition fee is 55000 per year, Buses will work around Madurai city. The bus fee is based on the distance that we travel. For me distance from my home to college is 15KM, I paid 16500 for bus fees per year. Since our college is 15KM away from Madurai city, most of the people prefer college buses to their own vehicles. People who have not joined Anna University Counselling need to pay an 85000 tuition fee. I got a 27500 scholarship from the Government as per the First graduate scheme for every year. Also, the alumni foundation is there, people who are poor and good at study sponsored by them. I got this opportunity in my last year. They sponsored a 27500 tuition fee for me. When it comes to the placement they bring good companies with a decent package. I placed in an MNC through an on-campus drive. But the problem is you need to clear all the backlogs when you are attending the drive.

Strictly there is no cultural and farewell and welcome party inside the campus. Our department conducts a State Level Technical Symposium in association with the Computer Society of India (CSI) Student chapter. This is the grand event that we conduct every year in March month where people from other colleges attend, final year students will organize everything including foods, and pre-final year students stand with them. This is a very prestigious event. Other than that many small internal events and workshops are conducted. All the classroom have a projector, it is great for the theory papers. And our college has a very large library, where all the journals are there also each department has their own library which has domain specific books. Our college is a very good place to achieve in sports. Whenever we ask on-duty for sports facilities won't tell anything. They will allow.
