King George's Medical University is Autonomous Statuary body of UTTARPRADESH State of India. This is one of the topmost Medical University in India. This University provide a healthy environment for the Undergraduate Students to actively participate in Research Studies by encouraging them yearly with specific grants for their study proposals. As per the strength of student, that is 250 for MBBS and 51 for BDS hostel facilities needed to be improved. Admission to respected Courses is being done on the basis of Rank secured in NEET UG. Later, counselling procedure is being conducted by Directorate General of Medical Education, UTTARPRADESH. A candidate has option to opt for 5 colleges under affiliation of King George's Medical University. Course Curriculum Overview
I chose MBBS because I had have been qualified in NEET UG 2016 for a seat of. I always wanted to become doctor that is why I have chose this course. Faculties are highly trained and qualified in their subjects with Specialization and Super Specialization degree and fellowship from India and Abroad. Terminal examinations are conducted one month before Professional Examination.
Internships Opportunities
Yes, Our university do offers one Year rotatory Internship after Graduation on stipend of 12000 INR Per month. If someone want to apply for Internship off the campus he can do so after getting No Objection Certificate from the University.
Placement Experience
After Graduation degree one can pursue post graduation or he can apply for Jobs in Public or Private sector as per the convenience. There is no such kind of placements in Medical College. My plans after graduation is to pursue Post graduation in General Surgery.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees for MBBS & BDS are same and there is relaxation of 50% in tuition fees for OBC, SC and ST Category students. Cost of duration of course counts for sum of 1.5 Lakhs to 2 Lakhs only for session of 4.5 years. Internship stipend is 12000 INR per month. There is provision of Scholarship which can be accessed from State Online Portal.
Campus Life
Rhapsody is 3 days Annual cultural fest of King George's Medical University and it is one of the largest cultural fest in State This event usually takes place in the month of December. This event comprises of cultural and academic events with exciting prizes for each section. Basically this is an intercollege event. The Central Library of University is comprised of around 40000 Books, 30000 Bound volumes, 3000 Book Bank, 3207 Thesis and 1088 CD's. Classroom has capacity of 100, 200 and 600 students for demonstration and lectures respectively. Sports arenas are highly encouraged by Annual Sports Meet every year in Month of November/December.
Hostel Facilities
There is provision of separate hostels for Undergraduate Students and Postgraduate Students. First year Undergraduate Students are given separate hostel. Hostel Mess has both Vegetarian and Non Vegetarian dietary. Canteen is settled over separate from mess. Hostel fees is included in annual fees submission. Basic registration can be done in hostel itself.
