Remarks

The college was known by my relatives, also the course I chose I thought it would be great in that atmosphere. But there were no proper working cameras available for children, no other equipments. Few teachers were really kind and helping. One good thing about this college is that it is free from ragging, It has fests all over the year, few courses like HM and B.tech-CS even have good placements. But for my course it didn't met any line. Admission process is simple. It starts from June July according to their year plan. You have to go fill the form attachment the marksheets and wait for merit. If you do not want to waste a year over thinking what to do and you have enough money to give it a try, you can. GEHU has its own website to check further details.

Course Curriculum Overview

2

I was always a child who loves to perform any kind of activities. I had a keen interest in Theater and Drama also in Film Making. This could show me various aspects of this field. Student Faculty ratio is fine . This is the point to check before admission. Some teachers are the ones who did same course from this university itself. Few are young who don't have enough practical knowledge of the industry. As this course is totally practical course I think teachers should be more experienced in respective fields first. Every 3 months there were term exams and they were not hard to pass.

Placement Experience

0.5

In 6th semester end students are eligible for campus placements but as I said there are no placements for our course that is BJMC. Some teacher may help child personally but on campus, there are no such placements till now.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee structure rises yearly for the new batches. As it is Graphic Era Hill University there is concession in fees for students of Uttarakhand. For that you should have few paper proves that you belong here. There is a finance team, if you have any issue and your scores are high maintained you can talk to them. They will surely guide you through. Job certainly depends on the course as I said. For our course too there were company drives for content writing that is actually jobs for literature/language students.

Campus Life

3

GRAFEST is one of the very known festival of this college which includes DJ nights etc. There are other festivals too like kavi sammelan where very known poets come and perform. There are different management committee to handle these which is open to all. Anyone can volunteer and grow. Libraries are always available for students also 2 Computer labs are also there. NCC is there if you wanna opt it. Also cricket, volleyball, football, basketball, TT, 8ballPool, Chess etc all the games are total gender neutral. There is a group AAINA it's a Nukkad Natak group but college doesn't support it that much. We have to manage our attendance by ourselves even if we're bringing trophies for college from various fests. I thing drama theatre is under rated by the college.

Other Applied Colleges

NSD | Diploma in Arts

The course doesn't exists.

From 5th semester students become eligible for campus placements. Many companies visit our college every year and mostly all of the students are placed based on their capabilities. Highest package of mass communication is 16 LPA and average package of 4 LPA. My plans is to become a journalist after the completion of my course.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Our course circullim is extremely basic and I feel doesnt delve deeply into the course at hand. We have been allowed to choose our electives in our final year and I feel we should got an option to choose our electives in the second year to gain more exposure and clarity in the field we are interested in.

It totally depends on student how they build up their cvs and skills they need to score good marks and be attentive for the placements. As soon as our last year of course reaches our college arranges placement drives . Our placement rate is quite great and maximum number of students do get placements by the ending semester.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I'm not sure that what I'm do after schooling then i got to know about mass communication and journalism course. Some say you will be reporter, some say anchor, but my inner voice says barbaadi ki rah, like my colleagues are very disappointing person, actually not all but some. I enjoyed the college to the fullest and during my 2nd sem I left an exam and just have a mindest to give back for that paper, like seriously i just left the paper to feel how people or students do hardwork to clear thier back in exam, don't think that i didn't clear it, I passed it. Now I'm missing the college, the campus and etc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum was severely outdated, with least emphasis on the practical learning which is ironical for a course like Journalism and Mass communication. The emphasis was just on the theory lecture and even there not in a single semester the syllabus was completed on time.

From the 4 semester onwards students become eligible for placements. Companies like Dainik Jagran, India today, etc. hire from college. According to me, 70% of students are getting placed. I want to work as an anchor after getting the degree, even now I am working as an intern on a local digital news platform.
