I chose national Institute of fashion technology over other because this is an elite institution run by government of India talking about comparison my course provides a real and an authentic degree on graduation and placemenrs too. For being admitted to this college one need to appear for an entrance exam named NIFT for b design one need to appear for general ability test and creative ability test held on same day if they could pass sone certain cut off then they will have to appear for situation test held approximately one month after the CAT and GAT then the final results are out taking marks in consideration of the three exam one is provided by common merit rank vnd then category rank but for Bftech one need to appear only for general ability test held on same day as b design and the results for thua are announced with the final result of b design...Read More

I didn't apply for any other college as i was very much determined to get into this college as this is the best reputed government college to pursue designing. After the declaration of results we have to wait for the counselling process to occur based on rank eligibility. Then preference list is updated after which they release the allotment list where we have the option of upgrading the choice or sliding the choice or freezing the choice. Upgrading means preferring much better course and campus as per preference list. Sliding means much better course in the same campus and freezing means satisfied with the preference alloted. I didn't applied for any other college so yeah I didn't got any rejections. I had only given the entrance exam of NIFT and I got selected in 1st attempt only . The entrance exam is not that much tough . The entrance exam has two levels exam the first level is of CAT and GAT in which two papers will be there CAT means creative ability test in which drawing exam will be there and the other GAT General ability test in which MCQs will be there if English maths reasoning GK and current affairs. When you get selected in this exam the another level exam held which is situation test in which some random things are give to you and given a topic and you have to make a 3d model based on that . The college is pretty good with a well-maintained campus. The course is relatively new as compared to other courses. So u have less competition and more chances of growth. NIFT provides you to explore your creative ideas in designing and provides a good mentorship to help you out with your projects and course. The admission process is pretty simple, you have to appear for all India level examination which normally has three round but in 2020 due to pandemic, there were only two rounds and the result was declared on the basis of these two rounds. The third round is a kind of spot round where you have to prepare some 3d models with explanations so that your teacher can evaluate your project properly. NIFT is going to be ranked among top colleges in the coming future as it has a wide scope. So it's better to go for NIFT courses rather than choosing other courses.
