Remarks

I wanted to pursue BJMC thereby was looking for some good colleges in Lucknow that too with manageable fees. I was an ex LPS student thereby I knew the infrastructure and college very well. When I went there I saw well-educated faculty with knowledge of both practical and theory, the lab for the students was well equipped with everything the atmosphere was very friendly. The fee structure was also manageable in short it was the complete packet of a perfect college with good infrastructure qualified faculity and practical analysis along with a manageable fee structure.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

I always wanted to be a journalist as I have a nose for news and I am a keen speaker as well. When I went there I found highly qualified faculty as maximum teachers hold PHD in their subjects. The faculty in the college own strong experience of teaching. Their teaching method is very interactive as they were not limited to the classroom but we are also having good references outside the room. We had both practical and theory sessions which enhanced our knowledge and helped us to foster learning. The student-teacher ratio is not perfect but manageable we have 60 students to one teacher in a lecture. We always had our internal exams before sessional which helped us in preparing for finals because those papers were not that easy to solve. It gave us a quick review of our preparation so that we can perform well in finals. Teachers help us a lot they are available for us after college as well.

Internships Opportunities

4

Yes, we do have internship opportunities. We have a fest named Internshala every year to help students with the internship. Good companies come up for an interview and then students get selected according to their interest. For journalism, we had live 24 who came up for internships.

Placement Experience

4

We have Rashtra job fest every year what is a placement drive for the students of the 3rd year and it is open for each and everyone outside the college. In this fest, many established companies come to the college like Wipro HCL and many more to take interviews of students. More than 80% of the students appearing in the interview get selected with the good package. Till now the best packets games by a student was 19 lakh per annum and he was hired by Amazon.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure vary from course to course. If I mention BJMC it has a comparatively manageable fees structure. We also have scholarships and financial assistance based on our merits and financial status. We have been charged accordingly. Depends upon all the facility that we own in the college. We have a special mention for Book bank which the library provides every semester. And the amount it charges for it is once in a course of graduation and that too is very acceptable. If we mention about job perspective we had events like Internshala for the students of 1st year and 2nd year and for the students of 3rd year we had Rashtriya job fest which was not only limited to college but was open to everyone. Through these two events, our college gave us a direct approach towards professionalism.

Campus Life

4.5

Life at the campus is very engaging. We have an annual fest name xenium international in which more than 23 countries come up to participate. All the preparation is done by students with the help of teachers. It is of the fest of 3 to 4 days with all the activities from culture to sports to academics. This is the best time of college actually. Apart from 8, we have different clubs which turns up at grooming classes. It has many things like anchors club, drama club, music club, dance club, Kalakriti club, Abhivyakti club and many more. We also have personality development classes which help the student to groom their personality. All these clubs are managed by students as we have Headed and in charges of the club from the third year. We also have three committees in our college discipline academic and management which are again managed by students of 3rd year. It is all a complete package of learning laughing and loving.

Admission

I was an LPS student thereby I directly got admission without any entrance exam.

Interview Experience

4

I was an ex LPS student thereby I didn't go for any entrance exam in fact I got a concession in admission as but yes we do have an entrance exam and a proper group discussion followed by an interview. The question paper for the entrance involved GK English mathematics and a complete approach according to the subject selected. The group discussions for highly interactive as they didn't create any pressure on the student they went smoothly. All the seeker 9 student is able to do good and perform well.

Placement Experience:

80% students are placed through DME with a package of 5 LPA to 7 LPA on an average which is quite decent for a fresher entering the industry. The top recruiting are for placements are Bharat Express, PR Guru, Amar Ujala, Dynamite News, T.H.E.M.E.S. Over 90% of the students were placed for internship in Amar Ujala, PR Guru, Aaj Tak, ABP News and Doordarshan. Top roles offered are journalist, content writer, anchor, film maker, and back end roles like video editor, graphic designer and many more. I personally plan to go into video editing after getting the degree.

My main aim is to become an automobile journalist that is the aspect that influenced me to choose this course. Till the date i dont feel that improvements are needed in curriculam and teaching methods. As faculty is really good in teaching and timely providing notes as it really helps students to learn effectively for theory exams and concentrate on practical skills that are needed to secure good position in reputed firms in future

Placements of our colleges and mediocre. From 6th semester students become elegible for campus placement. The highest package offered was 6LPA and the average package is 3-4 LPA. Placement depends upon the students applying for placement through college. Many students gets internships or jobs by themselves before even reaching placement cell.

DME offers several different companies that it has tie ins with for placements to students such as Gadgets 360, Aaj Tak, Myntra, PTI and D&P. 70-80% students get a good placement package. My personal plan following graduation is to pursue my higher education in correspondence with employment.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself was nothing out of the ordinary material, it teaches you the basics of the field but the faculties were pretty good and helped us understand not just the basic but a little more so that we could actually be able to work in the environment once we get there. Also they organise workshops which was mandatory for all the students without any extra charge to learn from professional what to do and how to do it best. We also used to get projects which actually helped alot in learning with practice the theory.
