Aligarh Muslim University is one of the central universities available in our country. It has really good rankings on a national and international platforms. Moreover, it has its own entrance examination for all the courses. Thus only the deserving candidates get selected.
Course Curriculum Overview
In modern days, a diploma in Engineering has lost its value but still is considered a really big thing in industries. And that too when you do it from an elite institute. All of our faculty members were PhD scholars in their respective fields. The teaching method is however quite old and all notes-based. Thus it gets easier to pass the exams if you have paid attention in the class.
Placement Experience
Since I had plans for graduation, I did not opt for placement. However, few of my batchmates got placed in good companies through placement drives. All they had to was to give a written test and an interview to get selected. Most of them who applied got selected at an average of 1-2lac/annum.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees are very economical. Only the fees of the first year go into 5 digits. Else, it’s only around 4,000 a year for the remaining sessions. Moreover, there are multiple scholarships provided by the state and central government apart from the alumini scholarships for the unprivileged meritorious students.
Campus Life
Life at Aligarh Muslim University is totally entertaining and relaxing. It feels like a second home to everyone. Seniors treat their juniors like their younger siblings. And juniors pay respects to their seniors as well. AMU has a various number of clubs in every field such as sports, co-curriculum, science, robotics, etc. Once you are in enrolled as a college student, you can take part in any of the club.
