IBS Gurgaon has a reputation of case based teaching and hence my decision to opt for the same, however on an online medium navigating through the course is taxing and tedious to say the least even with amazing staff, students, especially with the nightmarish situation in the streets, can't help but slack off. Moreover shaking the feeling of overwhelming existential dread due to the lack of the social interaction aspect that comes with pursuing a master's was completely absent. IBS isn't to blame it hasn't exactly been a cakewalk for them either but they've taken steps to make teaching more interactive and fun. IBS has also managed to organize web events for their students amidst a pandemic which speaks volumes about its dedication and compassion toward teaching its students and that is all you could ask for from an institute.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course I choose was marketing and I choose this because I wanted to pursue this course for an opportunity to get a job in the corporate sector. The faculty student ratio is 1:60 which is good as there are 600 students in a batch.
Internships Opportunities
Yes, the college does provide internships to the students. Companies like Amul, Reliance, Kellogs also come for internships. The starting work is of sales for most of the students and also some students go for startups as well.
Placement Experience
The placements of this college are good according to the fees they are taking. The students are getting placed in good companies including startups, named brands and also multinational companies which come to the college.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees of the course are Rs 800000 for two years and combining all the costs of books and study material. The college provides loan to students and also give scholarships to the students for their good performance.
Campus Life
IBS has also managed to organise web events and online social works amidst the global pandemic which is appreciable for them to take a step forward in creating an environment of activities in online learning
Hostel Facilities
Since I was enrolled during a pandemic, I could not get an opportunity to stay in a hostel or in a pg. But IBS does not provide hostels but they do suggest accommodations in the nearby areas. The nearest sector is 21 for students accommodation.
Interview Experience
The group discussion round is conducted in the IBS campus only where thousands of students come and are divided into groups to give their gd and interviews and are guided by faculty members. The results are announced then after a month.
