University's Maharani College is a semi-government college affiliated to the University of Rajasthan. It is located in a central area where nearby all facilities and transportation are available. The college got the best and most experienced faculty. Also, the campus is quiet big with well-equiped labs, a stadium, a library with sitting facilities. The admission process is very simple but took long time as students from all over india mostly north india applies. One has to fill and submit all the admission requirements online then the merit list will be released on the university's website. The college also consider the NCC and sports quota as I myself got the watage of NCC. The also has a separate office for the scholarships which made it easy to grab a scholarship as I did. The college also has a reasonable fee but no compromise with studies. As classes held regularly and teacher are really devoted. The college also have all sort of clubs and different activities held regularly.

I was interested in pursuing a bachelor's degree in psychology since school years. So, I chose this college as it provided a bachelor's course in psychology. A three-year course in which all the aspects of Psychology are incurred i.e. General, Developmental, Social, applied Clinical and Testing and Statistics with 10-12 practicals in each year. The college got the most experienced and co-operative faculty. Every topic from the syllabus is covered and practicals are held with the most accuracy. The classes are held five days a week for each subject there are two teachers. The honors course has Four paper(sub-subjects) from your major subject and two papers from your minor or subsidiary subject. I have psychology as major and public administration as minor subject. You are free to choose minor subject as per your will. The examination are held yearly i.e. once in a year under the guidance and supervision of Rajasthan University.

There is no campus placement available but the college provides further courses in your discipline. As for me, I would like to pursue for a doctorate degree in psychology. And to go into the field of Public Relations and Social Psychology. Along with BA in psychology, I will also pursue a certificate course in the French language from the same university which will increase the job prospects for me. One is eligible for walk-in interviews in private companies after receiving the degree from college.

As it is a semi-government college the fees structure is very reasonable. Rs.5370 /yr for the honors course and appx. 3000 /year for pass course. Also with examination fee later to be submitted which ranges between 1500-2000 as per your subjects. Hostel facilities are also available based on merit. The College got a seperate department for the scholarship which makes it easy to grab one. There are many states, central scholarships for which one can apply as I have received a scholarship worth rs. 10000 per year which will be continued till master's if I maintained my marks. Then there are many fee exemption schemes based on watage and quotas. Fee refund schemes are also there.

The college got excellent clubs and social life. There are all sorts of clubs: Art&Craft, IT, Cookery, NCC, NSS, Literature, Drama, Dance, Photography, Music, Fashion and Sports. Every year an annual fest is organized named Veethika for a whole week which includes all sorts of competitions and activities in which colleges from all over Rajasthan took part also DJ and EDM nights are also organized, many celebrity guests are invited. Veethika is organized and executed by the college clubs themselves. Apart from veethika other events are also held regularly like Dandia, Deepawali celebration, freshers, farewell. Many months activities are also organized by different departments for all the students. The student's bodies are also very active towards the betterment of college and students. They are very helpful and friendly. The library got seperate sections for all subjects with updated editions of books. There are two cantweens in the college with delicious menu and reasonable rates.

There are no such interviews or GDs for admission. It is totally based on the marks you obtained in the 12th class. On the basis of your academic merit, you'll be selected.
