MY COLLEGE REVIEW

Admission process: Nov 19 was the day of CLC in MITS college. The process begins with the submission of documents included class 10 & 12 marks sheet, migration certificate, aadhar card, EWS certificate (if you have), TC and character certificate. After submission, branch-wise seat remaining list and merit list was released. Then, Students were called as per the merit list and were offered seats in different branches and after the selection of branch and few formalities, the admission process was completed. Good & bad aspects: Honestly speaking, it has a big campus and well equipped library and various labs with the required machines and technology. Amid this pandemic, various online events were successfully organised and various clubs are also active. This college has moodle app and also introduced 5 new branches. Though this college has an open gym it is not good enough. I preferred this college because it is one of the top & well reputed college of MP and offers better placement and internship.

Civil Engineering is an evergreen type course whose demand will never go down. And the majority of the subjects included in this course are also part of competitive exams like GATE. This is the reason why I choose this course. Although faculty members are highly supportive and helpful. Regular meetings and feedback forms are provided to the students to address student's issues. It has various active clubs and also successfully organised various online events and induction program. Students: teacher ratio depends on teacher though in general, one or two teachers are there for around 140 students. The teachers are well qualified in their fields and most of them have successfully adopted online teaching mode but some teachers face difficulty too. When it comes to exams, 2 midsems are conducted in the quiz format and 3 rd midsem is conducted for those who are absent. The mode of the end sem exam (pen & paper or quiz) depends on the teacher with the camera open during the exam. The exams are easy to qualify for.

This college offers on-campus internship opportunities for 3rd year students. Companies including TCS, Wipro provide internship opportunities. The stipend offered is around 10-15 K. One has to complete projects assigned by the companies in order to get a certificate and stipend. Many companies also offer job opportunity to some students.

In the 3rd year, students are eligible for internship and in the 4th year, students are eligible for campus placement. Although summer internships are conducted in 1st and second year too. This college has a good alumni network and various companies visited including TCS, Flipkart, Wipro etc. And the highest package offered last year was around 10 Lakh and the average package is 3-4 lakh. Around 60% of students are getting placed every year. This college also supports entrepreneurs (and also has a club for the same namely start-up club and marketing club) and provide funding to those students who're willing to start their own start-up or have any innovative idea. My plans after getting the degree are to start my own business and I expect my college will support me in my journey.

The fee structure of all the branches is the same. On average, you can complete your bachelor degree in not more than 4 lacs in any branch. There is no concession in fee amid this pandemic. But the late fee rule was not implemented this year. As per the MEDHAVI scheme, scholarship is provided to bright students having a rank under 1 lakh in JEE MAIN exam. Fee concession is provided to the reserved categories. It has good financial assistance support for students.

Social life in college is good enough. Various activities and clubs are there for improving personality and soft skills. Various cultural programmes sports activities are conducted occasionally. The classrooms, labs and college campus are well equipped and well managed. A 24/7 library is full of books and journals. There are various active clubs in the college. Health holistic club, Rashtra club, Asimov robotics club, digital learning club to name a few. There are various chapters. The official website of the college is made by college students only. Some of the clubs have their own websites too.
