Life Inside and Around IET Lucknow

I wanted to study higher after my graduation thus I opted for MCA Programme. As I wanted to pursue MCA from good college thus I gave Various entrance examinations like UPSEE, NIMCET, JNU, BHU(All exams were Given in 2020 in months between Sept. and Oct.). Since I could not score good rank in JNU and BHU examinations, I couldn't get admitted in these Institutes. Result of NIMCET 2020 came later (after the result of UPSEE). I also secured rank in NIMCET 2020 but I dropped the idea of participating in counseling as I had already submitted the fees In IET which is non refundable. Since IET, Lucknow is a premier college of Uttar Pradesh state thus I participated In counseling and got admitted in it. Now I have successfully completed my First semester at IET I can say it confidence that it is a very good college and it has Good atmosphere for every student seeking career in Engineering, Sciences and Management disciplines.

Curriculum of My programme is very thorough and up to today's standard. As in 2020 the whole curriculum is revised in a 2 year scheme, Now it is very concise and optimized. My professors are highly educated and experienced in their respective fields. They provide all the necessary guidelines to every student. Overall I am satisfied with the teaching methodology and practices of my professors.

Internship opportunities are provided for every student who is eligible and interested. Many of seniors has taken part in internships and has taken PPO's as a offer. Some of them joined also. As now from 2020 MCA Programme is of 2 years thus internship is not mandatory but interested one can choose to be a intern.

Each year many company visits the campus like Adobe, Byju's, Optum, TCS, IndiaMART, Humming Wave and many more. Placement of Computer Science is very good. You can also look for off campus placements if you want to work in other industries. Last year more than 70 companies visited which gave a median package of around 4 LPA. Being A state government college many high end companies do not visit although the quality of talent is very good as compared to some NIT's and IIIT's.

Fees are incremented on a yearly basis by 5-10%. Campus is fully residential and hostels are pretty affordable. Scholarships can be opted by the beneficiary student and they can opt scholarship of their respective State government as well as central government.

Many cultural fests are organized by respective clubs throughout the year. Main fest is Encore which last held in 2019 when there was no Covid. Encore is one of the largest fest organized by our college in north India. Sport fest named as Shauryatsav held every year pre Covid. Each department has its respective classrooms and labs. There is 2 story central library which has hard cover material as well as soft material. On Instagram you can access many club accounts which are associated with music, dance, drama, writers, photography and many more.

Each hostel room is provided with bed, table, fan, light, almirah and a cooler for summers. Each hostel has its own mess committee which oversees the whole operation. Each hostel has a chosen secretary from students which represents all hostellers. At the time admission you will be asked for hostels. If you don't want to take hostel then college is situated in a well developed locality where you can find apartments and rooms to rent.
