University commerce college is affiliated with and under the direct supervision of the university of Rajasthan. It is a semi-governmental college. It is a college for boys only. The institutions provide various courses in the commerce stream with very minimal fees. The campus is really big and has all the amenities. The college is located in the central area of the city near the University of Rajasthan. The college has the best professors and faculty. The college also has NCC, NSS and various Sports Club. The campus has a library, a canteen and four stadiums. The classrooms are really big and spacious. I choose this college because it is one of the best colleges in Rajasthan and enlisted in the top colleges of Rajasthan. The admission process is simple you just have fill form and submit all the documents required. The admission process is online. The merit list is released on the Rajasthan University website.

I chose this course because I had commerce in +1 and +2 so decided to continue it. The college provided a good bachelor degree course with reasonable fees. The course included a total of 9 subjects throughout the three years 3 subjects to be covered per year. Exams were held yearly hence the course was divided into 3 semesters. The exams usually took place in the month of april-may. The class was divided into many sections per section having appx. 80-90 students. Every subject was attended by 2-3 teachers covering different aspects of the syllabus. The teaching methods were easy to understand. The study material was not provided by the college but one can issue books and question series from the college library.

Campus placement does not take place in the college. But you are qualified for a walk-in interview and eligible for floor interviews. I am right now pursuing a master's degree in commerce and planning to appear in the government exams. Although the college has NCC and NSS groups which have their own perks in terms of career. You can achieve B and C level certification which makes you eligible for the NCC and NSS quota in various government jobs and also you'll be eligible for walk-in interview in SSC if you've cleared the C certification criteria. You can also continue your career in the field of NCC or NSS.

The college has a very reasonable fee structure. Being aided by the government the college provides the best courses at the most minimal fees. One has to deposit yearly fees along with examination fees. I have completed my graduation within 15000/- of fee including the examination and practical fees. The college also has provisions for scholarships and Financial Assistance based on different quotas and Merit based. There are also many state and central, governmental and non-governmental scholarships approved by the college.

The college has moderate college life. Although there are many activities and events organized there is no such annual event. Although the college students got invitations for the annual fests of other colleges of Rajasthan University. The college has various sports clubs and NCC and NSS clubs which provide various career prospects. The college has student bodies to resolve various administrative and all sorts of issues regarding students. There is also an official website of the college which provides all sorts of information.
