Remarks

Since the College of Vocational Studies is a part of Delhi University it is super affordable, my course is bachelor’s in management studies fees for one year is only 10150/-. The staff here is well qualified with their experience of more than 5 years. College of vocational studies also offers many vocational courses like Bachelors in Human Resource Management, Tourism etc. Admission took place via class 12th percentage in all courses except Bachelors in management studies and bachelors in business economics, in these courses admission took place via entrance exam (DU JAT).

Course Curriculum Overview

5

I am currently pursuing bachelors in management studies, this course is available only in few colleges of Delhi University. This course is focused on building management and leadership skills among students. In our college, there are only 59 seats for bachelors in management studies. So the facility student ratio is good. A professor here are well qualified in their particular streams and are very helpful. Most of the teachers are experienced, having experience of more than 5 years. Exams are of moderate level, neither too difficult nor too easy.

Placement Experience

3

Being honest most of the students goes for post-graduation rather than sitting for placement. Many companies came to campus like Byjus, Make My Trip, etc. As I got to know about highest placement is around 7 lakh CTC and the lowest placement is around 1.5 lakh. Around 70% - 80% of the students got placed In the placements. Many people also go for out of campus placements. After completing my graduation I will go for post-graduation.

Fees and Financial Aid

College of vocational studies is a super affordable college its one-year fee is only 10150 (for my course that Is bachelors in management studies). You are not required to think about fees. It costs you even less than your fees in your school, even I would say your 3-year graduation costs you lesser than your class 12 fees. Most people don’t require a scholarship because it costs you even less than 1000 if you see it monthly. You can easily manage this amount by doing internships and winning different contents going around on campus and at University.

Campus Life

5

The library is well equipped ranging from course books to magazine to newspaper etc. Here in the college of vocational studies, there are a lot of clubs or societies. You can join anyone you want, these societies help you in growing your interpersonal skills. There are a lot of societies for different purposes and department. For example, ComSoc - It is the commerce society of Coll of vocational studies, its focus on building financial knowledge among students. College also has NCC, NSS you can choose anyone you want. The classroom is also well equipped with good quality furniture and all.

Admission

The final result is based on a combined score of class 12th as well as entrance marks.

Placements at my college are average, students become eligible from around the 5th semester. A few companies visit for recruitment, offering roles in entry level positions. The average package is moderate, while higher package are limited. Around 70 to 80% of students get placed. I plan to focus on skill development and explore better opportunities after completing my degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very relevant as it contains useful concepts which a management student should know. And the concepts are very comprehensive and easy to understand. Examples are given in the curriculum which prepares us for the real world. Some teachers use the presentation based teaching which is good and should be encouraged. The exams are not that difficult for one who is atleast decent in studies.
