The Oxford College of Engineering

Compared to some other colleges in Bengaluru, this is better. And also I would have not to get into any other better colleges than this for my ranking. I was searching for college only in Bengaluru, as it is helpful for future career plans. The college premises is not that much what you think. It's just a small place with some 5-6 buildings. It never felt like I am doing my graduation course while walking in campus. It is very small because it is located in such area, where IT companies are located. There is no many of extracurricular activities as well. It's just like 9 to 3 college, and then tests, exams, labs that's all. I am not a hostelling so I don't have anything to say about that.

I really wanted to get in the software community. So I only applied for computer science and information science branches. I didn't know anything about the software courses but I wanted to become a good software developer. That's why I chose this branch. The faculty-student ratio differs from branch to branch. In our branch, I would say 1 to 40.

College does offer internship opportunities off-campus or on campus. I am still in the 6th semester so I have to do my on-campus internship in the coming semester break. Students are always allowed to do off-campus internships anytime. The bit you have to maintain the attendance percentage as mentioned by the VTU though.

From 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements. Many mid-range companies do visit to the college. The average offers are always between 3-5 lakhs per annum. I think the percentage of students getting placements is nearly to 90%. Companies like Byju's, hp, TCS, cognizant, Infosys, etc visit the college.

There is no hike in fees year by year. The cost of a study depends on the student. There is no cost to study as much other than buying some record books, blue books for writing internals, and lab manuals. Teachers give notes for studying if you want you can collect them from them.

Our annual tech fests name is Ignus. There is no specific month to take place of the tech fest. Books are almost all of them are available but still sometimes they fall shortage in exam times. There is no need to worry, there is also an online library. Students do run social groups, clubs by themselves.
