In short Gautam Buddha University

The college had an entrance exam named GBU-ET. The basic requirement was 45% marks in the three major subjects in class 12th boards. The entrance exam was held online due to the pandemic. The counselling process was held online and the admissions were easy. The fees were transferred online and we had a 2 days orientation program for the interaction of students and the faculty and since then we have online classes.

I opted for this course because it is quite interesting to study microbiology. Due to the pandemic, this subject has been specifically highlighted as it is the core of the treatment and research related to covid. The college is best for biotechnology as it has very exclusive and highly equipped labs and a huge Library. The faculty of the mentioned course is also highly educated with their own research paper and patents. The schedule of the term exam was somehow disturbed due to the lockdown but they managed it efficiently.

Internships are provided between the second and fifth year by the college placement faculty. Biotechnology internships are research or marketing based in which students are offered small roles to learn the work. Few companies are HCl, Wipro etc.

I'm not too sure about the placement thing. But the college has their own branch of members which supports the startups started by the students and I think this is a different thing in comparison to other colleges. After completing my MTech I will look for higher studies from a reputed foreign University.

I don't know much about the scholarship and placement but I have applied for the scholarship given by the UP govt. The fees took a hike from the past years and even this year it has also been increased for the first year new students so the college should look upto it.

Gautam Buddha University is the best place for overall holistic development as it has a nice amount of social and co-curricular clubs. It has huge stadiums and for every sport even a swimming pool and gym on the campus. Every hostel has a badminton /basketball/volleyball court. The Library has a huge collection of books with a proper environment to study. We have 24 hours running study room near the library where students can study peacefully even at night. Since we haven't visited the college for a good amount of time so we haven't joined or attended a fest so I couldn't tell you anything about it.

The hostel of GBU is the best place to live in with a single room for every individual and according to me, it is sufficient. It includes a ceiling fan, an almirah, a study table and chair, a shelf, a bed and a balcony. It has proper lighting. It has community toilets. The registration process is easy as they only require your fee slip and you need to fill a form and sign an undertaking. The mess has been nicely made with decent food quality.
