My college experience

Since my JEE Mains rank around 6500 so I only opted for NIT Calicut, NIT Bhopal, NIT Allahabad, NIT Jaipur. But I got NIT Bhopal CSE, the admission process was smooth. I hadn't availed of any quota. The minimum criteria for admission in NIT Bhopal CSE are rank up to 7500. The admission process was not too tough, you just have to submit required documents in a proper order that was available on their website, you also need the anti-ragging undertaking so please keep that in mind.

I chose the CSE branch because there are plenty of opportunities in this stream. There are enough faculties so the ratio is quite good so there is not any shortage of teachers, every lab and workshops have an adequate number of lab attendants and draftsman. Lecturers are PhD qualified. Term exams are timed every 1 to 1.5 months, at first they take mini-tests then mid-semester then end the semester.

Various internships opportunities are available for students starting from the 5th semester with a good amount of stipend. Students could get the opportunity to do projects under the professor's guidance if asked.

In 5th-semester students get an opportunity for internships and in the 7th semester yeh are eligible for placements. Various companies of different field visit MANIT like Adobe, Amazon, Microsoft, Meethi, Flipkart, Bounce, Goldman Sachs, Nutanix, Epic etc with a placement percentage of 92% for the CSE branch with 12.51 lakhs as average package till 2020.

According to my fees of this government college MANIT Bhopal is quite high, that is 70000 semester plus mess and hostel charges that are around 1 lakh plus per semester. Student gets railway scholarships etc easily and financially unstable students can attach their certificates and get a waiver on tution fees.

We have two fests first is the technical fest in November and the second is the cultural fest in January or February. The Library of MANIT is quite big, you can get a good and numerous amount of books over there. Classrooms have loudspeakers, whiteboards/blackboards. Sadly no A.C. Sports and extracurricular activities also happen for interested students like Football, Cricket, NCC etc. MANIT have a good amount of social group clubs and societies. Cultural Societies like Roobaroo, Ae se Aenak etc., Technical Societies like Vision, IEEE, Azaad etc., Literature Societies like Drishtant, Creative Societies like PIXEL MANIT, and also societies for startups and entrepreneurs like ED Cell.

There are 12 hostels built for students from 1st to 4th year, some of them are divided into two buildings. In 1st year you get triple occupancy and the room size is good but you only get 2 almirahs and 2 tables but 3 beds and 3 chairs. Food Quality in mess is overall good, there is a proper menu followed full week and it consists of various food items. Registration Process for Hostel is easy, you just have to submit a Demand Draft of about 30000 and after that, you will be registered for a hostel, For mess payment just pay the amount to the account number provided by hostels warden. Since I didn't rent a room so I don't know about locations. But if you are renting then choose the location near to college as college is too big you have to walk a lot.
